Worst night last night so far!

I managed about 2/3 hours if that!

I haven't slept in my bed for well over 2 weeks now, i've tried sleeping top to toe with hubby so I get more room but now i'm in the spare room most nights.

I'm so tired today at work I could fall out with myself!

As soon as i'm awake, either to go to the toilet, because of restless legs or just 'awake', it takes me an age to get back to sleep!
Last night I even put sleep music on youtube on at 3am just to try and get a couple of hours kip!

How are you doing??

I've been so worn out this pregnancy that it hasn't been an issue... until this week. I've been waking at the most obscure times and unable to fall back asleep. I remember this with DS but thought it was a little later due to heartburn, sore back etc.
I'm exhausted all day but the minute I go to bed wide awake. It's so frustrating.

If I have a good night I only wake up 2-3 times to pee, A bad night for me is waking up every hour/2 hours to pee or because my back/sides really hurt and I can't get comfortable.

Getting out of bed for work hasn't been fun and trying to wake myself up at work is just impossible I just can't focus for long period of time without yawning or wanting to close my eyes haha

A friend of mine recently gave me a tip about restless leg and sleep - magnesium! It actually has lots of benefits, and it's something a lot of people lack. It helps relax your muscles and also helps with bowel movements! Last night was the first time I tried it, so I can't say for SURE yet that it works for me, but I did sleep a lot better. :) And even after I got up to use the bathroom, I got back to sleep quickly! (Which I never usually do!) I'll keep taking it every night and see if I really notice a difference.

I just recently started having issues sleeping in the past 3 or so days. I shoved a pillow under my belly, crammed the covers under my back and slept on me left only to wake up and figdet or pee, every 2 hours :( It's getting so hard to get out of bed and even worse to get comfy.... I know it's only going to get worse *sigh*

I have si much pain in my leg due to a ruptured disc it takes me forever to fall asleep then i wake up at least twice to go to the bathroom and each time it takes me a while again to get back to sleep... Then my kids are up so early asking for all kinds of stuff... My body is depleted

I haven't been sleeping well the whole pregnancy so far either peeing or now just waking up and not being comfortable or being wide awake despite being absolutely knackered!

Just preparing me to night feeds

I've not slept well my whole pregnancy. The first 4 months were horrendous, I would wake at 2/3am and didn't go back off as I'm up for work at 6:15am. I slept from 10-2 for the first few months and that was difficult. Now I vary, some nights I sleep well, others I still wake up to pee and struggle to get back off. Everyone keeps saying 'get used to it because you'll be doing night feeds soon' but it drives me insane when they say that as I'm prepared and willing to do that, it's the sleepless nights for no reason that are so frustrating!! At least when I'm up every hour feeding baby I'll have a good reason to be awake!!

Luckily (so far!) have had no problems sleeping through the night.
Had a few issues with the preggo pillow I bought as it gets very hot and OH overheats next to me and can't sleep so keeps me awake.he also wakes me up to let me know when i am on my back (i cannot sleep on my sides as i have serious hip issues since my own birth so cannot stack my hips to lay on my side) so i use it only when i am napping in the day (not a preggo thing, i have always needed a 2 hour nap in the afternoon as i struggle to get full oxygen to my brain when asleep due to the shape of my skull so i shallow breathe and don't get full quality of sleep as a consequence) so all 'normal' up to now until the birds wake me up with the dawn chorus. Then I realise I really really need a wee!!! lol!

I feel this 'smug carry on as normal sleeping' will be short lived once darling is here.......so you can all point and laugh at me in due course.

I still sleep great. I get up to pee around 11-12 but I don't drink a lot before bed then I may not wake at all. Last pregnancy I would wake up at 4 am every morning to pee and that sucked b/c then I would have to get up in a couple hrs for work. I just hope I can keep this schedule. Good luck to you ladies that are having trouble.

Never really have an issue. Thankfully my bladder still coping with 1 bathroom visit.

I've sort of been sleeping well, I fall asleep quickly and don't have insomnia problems. BUT I have to get up to pee at least once, but more commonly 2-3 times in the night. And I've been having very vivid weird dreams. They are not necessarily nightmares, but they are tense or anxious dreams and sometimes I wake up after them and have trouble going back to sleep.

This perfectly describes me too. I fall asleep so easily and wake up with vivid dreams unable to fall back asleep again. I usually only have to get up once to go to the bathroom as well although I'm sure that will start to increase.

I have a sleep disorder which has prevented me from sleeping on a normal schedule my whole life, but it's gotten worse and worse. I used to not be able to go to sleep until 11/12, then it turned into not sleeping til 1 or 2, and the past few months I haven't been able to sleep until 4 or 5 or later  my first trimester exhaustion was actually a blessing because I would doze off at 8 pm when my daughter went to bed every night, but now my energy is back. My daughter wakes up between 5-8 a.m. Which means if I go to sleep at 4 I get a maximum of four hours of sleep, but that is a luxury. Usually she wakes up at 6 or 7. So I've been getting 2-3 hours of sleep every night for weeks now. It's seriously killing me. I'm a stay at home mom. Nobody understands, especially not my hubby, that I can't just "make myself go to sleep early.":dohh:

I'm so tired all the time! I know I am sleeping but I get up around 4 times a night to pee and sometimes wake up from those anxious vivid dreams...and then morning comes and I feel like I need to go back to sleep. My fiance is really great about everything but sometimes when it comes to being tired I don't think he gets how exhausted I really am..after all, he sleeps through my ups and downs all night.

Ok so slightly better last night ladies!
Could be a fluke as I was soooo tired after the rotten night before but the only I thing I did differently (on the doc's advise) was to hve a cup of sleepy tea before bed. I chose the 'Pukka night' one and although it's not my favourite taste in the world I can bare it - Especially if it works/helps!

Going to also try the magnesium suggestion also.

Any more tips ladies keep them coming!!!

In the beginning of my pregnancy I was so tired I was going to bed at 7pm every night, sometimes I would just come home from work, go right to bed and sleep all night. Now I'm going to bed about the usual time, but I have to take Zantac like an hr before, otherwise heartburn keeps me up. I'm only 23 weeks and the aches and pains have already set in. It's hard to roll over and my pelvic joints are very stiff getting up to use the bathroom, which is at least 3x per night already.

Had my first crazy leg cramp attack just recently, totally forgot about that lovely pregnancy symptom. Oh and the drooling has come back. Had it really bad in the beginning of my pregnancy too and combined with my morning sickness it would make me really nauseous. Doesn't make me sick anymore, it's just really gross to wake up in a pool of your own saliva! Luckily my husband has been getting up with my first child if she gets up during the night, very gracious of him.
