Same here, although I think for me, I've been getting to many calories lately as I'm hungry All the time,

I just started trying to lose the baby weight this week (baby is 6 weeks tomorrow), I struggle massively trying to lose while breastfeeding but I am determined! Weigh in tomorrow and hopefully a loss as I've been 100% on track with food. I only lost around 5-6kg at birth too & baby was 3.2kg, didn't have any swelling or anything to lose though.

What are you doing to lose?

I lost about 20 pounds in the first few weeks. Then it all stopped and I felt like I was gaining weight! I EBF so I did not understand this. I was not watching my caloric intake though. So at about 3 1/2 months pp I started watching what I ate. I started eating really clean and exercising 5 times a week. I took off 7 pounds in a few weeks. It is definitely about diet that is for sure. I have a friend who is a trainer/nutritionist and after she stopped breastfeeding at 15 months she lost the last 5 pounds that she couldn't shake while breast feeding immediately. So, I think that we will have a bit more fat then we want to have until the babies are weaned. Oh well.....

i didnt lose any weight really after, i think i put more on as i was just eatting anything and everything, the last few months ive been watching what i eat and i've lost a stone. u have to be careful losing weight while bfing as it can afffect your milk.

i try to stick to under 1500 cal a day including drinks x

The hormone oxytocin actually makes your body more efficient at getting nutrients from your food!

Let me know how you got on, wishing you luck
Im following slimming world, so frustrating!

With my first I didn't start losing weight until 3 months pp, and with my second about 5 months pp. I'm 8 months pp now and down to my prepregnancy weight.
According to my lactation consultant, most women don't start really burning calories from bf until around 3 months pp because your body naturally is still holding on to fat stores for milk production. Diet and exercise play a huge role in how much you'll lose obviously.
Good luck and I hope that helps :)

Apart from the initial weight loss in the first few weeks, I've never been able to lose weight while ebf. This time I started weight watchers when my son was 7 months and eating solids well. I've lost 3 st since and still going with weight loss and bf-ing.
Don't beat yourself up about weight loss when they're little, there's loads of time for that later on.
