HSG

Ariannda - they are saying both my tubes are blocked and my HSG was one of the most painful things ever so I am happy for you that yours didn't hurt!! And fingers crossed for a BFP for you soon!!

Hi Molly123456, the surgery didn't go well. My doc said my tube is not able to be opened. It's closed at the end where it is supposed to connect to my uterus. He said it's been like that since birth. So now we will have to use ivf. We will be discussing an ivf plan as my post open appointment in 2 weeks. I hopeful ivf will work for us. Hopefully we'll have a little one someday soon!

Sorry to hear that :( Fingers crossed that ivf will work for you. Does your insurance cover ivf? I go in this coming Friday for my surgery. I am so ready to get it over with so we just know what our options are.

Unfortunately our insurance doesn't cover ivf. But, I'm determined to get it done. My dh and I have been discussing egg sharing. That would cut our cost quite a bit and we would be helping someone else at the same time.

I hope your surgery goes well Friday! I will be thinking of you. Please let us know how it goes as soon as you feel well enough :flower:

Surgery went well. I am still pretty groggy from the pain meds. I found out one tube is blocked, but the other is wide open. And they cleared out the endometriosis so overall it was pretty good news!

Hi Molly, I'm so happy for you that one of your tubes is open!! That's great news! I hope you are recovering well. Take it easy and take care of yourself :flower:

Thank-you. I was feeling really good about everything until last night when my best friend told me that she was pregnant. She just found out yesterday so it's still a secret...which made me want to scream and say you probably could have kept it a secret from me for a few days. They have been trying for maybe 2 months. Ugh I hate feeling bitter and sad. And I truly am happy for her, but I am still feeling the effects of my surgery so I just wish she would have waited to tell me.

Sorry, Molly, we all understand very well these feelings. Pregnancy announcements are very difficult :(. I am expecting any moment my friend to tell me she expects the second one and my niece also started trying last month so....I am basically prepared to be happy for then and to feel sorry for myself :(.

Unfortunately, this is part of life.

I'm so sorry your friend didn't wait to tell you her news. That's definitely not what you want to hear that soon after your surgery and still recovering. It really is bittersweet when family or friends come out with pregnancy news.
