I have just seen a list of the top 100 names of 2015 so far, sorry I cant link but it is on the huffingtonpost.co.uk and then top baby names, apparantly it is from the top searches on nameberry, I was so shocked at some of them as they are names I haven't really heard of been popular:

Girls
7.cora
18. Adelaide
21. Khaleesi

Boys
5.declan
23.beckett
34.ryker

Are any of these names popular near you?

Just to add charlotte, Amelia and Olivia are the top three girls and Atticus,Asher and Ezra are the top three boys.

I know one declan and he is 25 lol and one adelaide who was born last year. I don't think these are popular really :/

They are just searches not official names. I search random names for my books.

Yeah they're not really indicative of how popular they are in the real world, just what people search for. I don't know anyone who would even consider naming their daughter Khaleesi!

Khaleesi is only big bc of the Game Of Thrones series here in the US. Can't speak for Cora but Adelaide has also been in a show or two that I've watched in the past.

where is this based though?

I dont know any by those names but I would not be in the slightest suprised to meet one

I know a 2 year old Duncan which is similar to Declan and I see Beckett pop up a few time on other sites from american parents (so wouldnt expect to meet one here but do believe it might be common there)

Cora and Adalaide are both lovely names and wouldnt seem unusual at all

Khalisi and Ryker kind of scream either immature teen mom (nothing against teen moms some are truely great but some are immature and that can be reflected in names) or 'alternantive' parents - either way they come across slightly tacky but tacky is often popular just look at Nevaeh in america

I know 1 Cora in her 60s and 2 Declan's. None of the others

I have a niece named Cora and have met 2 other little girls with that name. My neighbor just had a boy 2 weeks ago named Declan! I would definitely say they are growing popular in my area northwestern USA...isn't Cora the mom's name in Downton Abbey?

my dh likes Declan but I'm not so keen and Callen is in our top name list, before we'd even seen this list.
I love game of thrones but it seems so fan girl to use a name like Khaleesi! I do know a Denarys (sp?) named from the show.

To be fair huffington post is normally us based and us baby names are often quite different to the uk. You can access info on what was actually given last year online as searches could be misleading. People may just be searching to see if a name is made up or what it means, they may not even be pregnant.

it apparently been confirmed that their where 53 Khaleesi's born in the uk in 2014 so people are using it

We loved the name Cora and would have used it but surname begins with C and we thought it was too much. Didn't realise it was so popular though!
