As the title says really.

When my HV was discussing weaning with me she said you still need to boil water for bottles but after 6 months there is no need to boil it for the sippy cup:shrug:

So what do we do then? use tap water? Or would bottled water be better?

thanks xx

I think we're meant to just use tap water because bottled water has too many minerals for babies

i still boiled till she was one but only because our water is shocking here!!!

Yeah, tap water (or filtered if you prefer) is fine after 6m.

I've been giving her filtered water (I don't like drinking straight from the tap) from 6m. But like Lu said, shouldn't give bottled water as it's too high in minerals for LOs.

If we're filtering it,is it ok to have in the fridge? or will it be too cold?xx

We have the filter on our fridge/freezer and it comes out pretty cooled. She likes it cold though, think it helps with her teething lol

But you can keep filtered water at room temp too, if you want.

Thanks ladies........ I never knew this!
