Hycosy private

Hi I had a Hycosy done when ttc #1, I fell pregnant straight after. Have been trying again for over a yr now and have it in my head that I need the Hycosy done again, to make my have those more fertile months afterwards!!
Last time we were referred on the NHS but I'm inpatient and have been researching some private clinics were I can have it done.
2questions though,
1) do I need a referral off my gp before I can book it?
2) does anybody know of any places that done them in the north west (England) have got one quote at £700 just wondered if there maybe any cheaper. We are willing to pay the £700 if needed.

We self referred to go private, had appointment almost straight away. NHS and dr were useless. Cost us £350 for the hycosy. Were down South.
