UPDATE FROM SCAN... THIS IS LONG SO SORRY

Right here goes firstly saw baby heart beat ect was lovely but slighly dissapointed.....


by my dates im 8 weeks + days i could be wrong by 6 days ive worked out so just bang on 8 weeks i should be....

says 5 weeks 5 days baby measures 4mm and she showed me heart beat...

this is not poss i dont think i new i was pregnant 5 weeks ago i told my friend before i tested but this us has got me thinking other wise

so help me out ladies all welcome please...

had some messed up periods in september

but my last actually period was
started 13th/14th of october

ended on the 20th/21st october so from what i can gather ovulation would happen 12th to 16days later yeh????

i tested on the 18th and the digital i used said i conceived 3+ so i take it back 2 weeks more to last period yes? so would of concieved on the 4th and last period was as above take it back 2 weeks from the 4th november making me 8 weeks 2morrow..... they are saying im only 5 weeks and 5 days that means my last period was the 4th november but it wasnt so its like the baby measures form conception not last period do you get me ???

im 5 weeks and 5 days i was 2 weeks pregnant when i found out but digital test said i was 3+ weeks and then you plus 2 to that any way.... how is this possible am i working it out right.....

they did this with my 1ST LO i was 7 weeks + days when i went for a scan and they said i was under 6 weeks as they couldnt see a heartbeat.... and to come back in 2 weeks so i did and they put me 2 weeks ahead like i had said in the 1st place

i thought that they couldnt see a heart beat before 6 weeks???? i just seen one and they did a standard scan she didnt do an internal one so she must have it wrong again like last time please tell me if im working it out right..... edd is taken from 1st day of last period ..... my last period was not on the 4th of november and i cant see how i would show pregnant at 2 weeks and i told my friend like i said the week before (im pregnant she says no way i said you'll see when i miss my period next week) so if im 5 weeks i must be a bloody mistic meg because i will have only just conceived well done if you got this far and understood me lol sorry for going over im just like wtf and keep going over all my dates

heya huni, its definetly taken from last period, im not very helpful but this will put your post up the top again and hopefully someone can help more then me, understand you must feel disappointed, i would do as you know yourself and your own body as to when things happened......!!! I would probably ask for another scan sooner so they can re-check but thats just me being cheeky, it might be worth a go. As for seeing the heartbeat so 'early' (if you get what i mean! i didnt think this was possible either and sometimes people do not even see the baby at 5 weeks 5 days i thought (only the sac?) they must have MESSED up AGAIN. bless ya hunni xx

ggrrrrr need to take all aspects in to consideration ill write it here as well hun so others can understand where im coming from

sonograph lady said crl was 4 mm im looking at my paperwork now it states 5mm and also read that at 7 weeks pregnant fetus can measure between 5mm-12mm....so she is looking only on an average.... (i am certainly not average nothing with me is straight forward) although i would love it to be lol

and then at 7 weeks a fetus is a clear C shape my bubz is a clear C shape so she should of taken this into consideration

and a fetus heart starts beating at 5 weeks and pumping blood so a heart beat is not visable especially on a standard scan (instead of the internal one)

sorry im just annoyed that she didnt take other aspects in to consideration and i only have another scan cause i told her i wanted one and she booked me in

i told her i new i was pregnant 5 weeks ago she said its sometimes possible yeh if your mystic meg love

The conception indicators are not always correct. If you produce hcg rapidly they will show further along then you actually are. I have tried to compare your situation to mine. I am 8 weeks 5 days and had my bfp on the 8th of November when I was 7 dpo.
I went for a scan when I should have been 7 weeks+1 day and they told me it only measured 6 weeks 1 day - but when I went back a week later they told me it had caught up to my original dates and by the last scan I should be 7+1 but I was 8+2. I think you need to get another early scan to know for sure. x

I would wait and see what happens at your next scan. At my first scan I was 7 1/2 weeks by my LMP (I almost always have reg cycles). At the scan they told me that I was closer to 5 weeks and I was freaked out. My next scan 2 weeks later put me at 7 weeks... so it just ends up I ovulated late.

i agreed with jake & gina... when i thought i was 6wk (based on my LMP), but from the scan, baby sac only measures 10mm, equivalent to 4w0d... 1 week later, it measures 1.7cm, equivalent to 5w1d... i've done so many early scan cause i have continous bleeding and spotting.... all at GP clinics... but when i went to OBGY (specialist) (3 weeks later), dr did scan, and measures the baby crl 22.8mm, 9w0d... so, dr stick to my EDD based on LMP since it's only 5 days different... weird isn't it... so, it all depends on who did the measurement....
