I never wanted a period so much!!!!!!

I want to start my first round of chlomid!!!!

When I don't want af to show, when I think 'maybe we finally did it', when I get pregnancy symptoms (granted they are probably in my head).... Af shows up!

Now when I want it to start, NOTHING! How the f*** is that fair?

Hi, the 3rd night i took it I was boiling hot and really sweating all night, the 4the and 5th day I had a bad headache behind my eyes but these were both bearable, i just really hope it works for the both of us, especially after having to wait for so long! I didnt have any mood swings or anything like that, now i just keeo thinking about the best time to BD, think ive decided on nothing days 7,8,9 then BD every other day from day 10 until i either get AF or BFP

They are starting me on 50mg days 2-6. I need to ring the fertility nurse as apart from that I don't know much else as in times to take it, with or without food etc? I so don't want to do any of this wrong!

I also have a follow up with the fs in feb as she wants to do day 21 bloods and see how I react after 3 cycles. The way I feel now, I doubt I will have even had one!

my AF was late the month i started clomid, its like she knows and goes out of her way to torment us...

my advice, try not to stress, stress keeps her away...

Im on 50mg 2-6 too, people say its best to take it before bed to minimise the side effects so you sleep through them but i took mine about 4:30 each day, the side effects aren't immediatley after you take the tablet and you might not even get any, even if you have side effects at night you will probably still notice them if you get woken up like I did sweating!

It doesnt say on pack to take with food but I dont think ive ever had an empty stomach when taking them lol

Mine were prescribed by my GP and im not having any checks, if the clomid doesnt work i will be going to a specialist, my DH has a low sperm count and weve got to do another SA as the last one was a few months ago but as im obvioulsy not ovulating my GP said to try the clomid while waiting for specialist, my mum had to take clomid when she had 2 of my sisters, she used to be just as irregular as me but out of 4 girls I seem to be the only sister who has inherited this!

Hey. Still no af and no signs of anything! It's so annoying!

My mum also had chlomid as well as others. She was trying for 7 years before they got me. Then after me she suffered 5 miscarriages. I guess we are kind of lucky that are mums know what we are going through. My mum and this site are the only place I discuss it. Well apart from with my husband and the doctors!

My dh sa was good. I have had hsg, ultrasounds etc and everything seems fine. Bloods are good except for the ovulation one so I am really hoping that chlomid fixes it all for us!

Hopefully it will do the same for you too!!!

Do you have aong waiting list to see a fs in your area?

Hi, its good your other tests came back clear, Im not sure about the wait but when my friend was referred last year she only had to wait about a month and pretty much went straight in for a laparoscopy to see what was wrong so I dont think theres a long wait, any sign of AF yet? It sounds like the clomid will give you the boost you need, I hope so and have got my fingers crossed for you xx

I just started my first round of clomid today!
Doctor told me to take it days 3-8. Havent herd anyone mention those days. . .

Also doc had me take progesterone to make AF start because i am irregular!

Anyone in the same boat? I'm way to nervous!

Hi chris, I haven't heard of those days either normally 3-7 days maybe this is what your dr meant?
I had to wait 75 days for this cycle to start my clomid, what mg have you got?
I know what you mean about nervous but at the same time exciting! I didnt have too many bad side effects though, good luck!

Hey. Still no sign of af. I Think I might ring the fs tomorrow to see what she suggests as I really want to star chlomid.

Another part of me is thinking to wait until the weekend and if still no af to take a pg test. Although I doubt it as I have been here several times before. Although usually a couple of hours after I test af shows..... Maybe I should take a test and trick her into coming!!!

I have never heard of days 3-8 either although like star have heard of 3-7. Maybe you should ring your GP and double check? X

I also started clomid this weekend 50mg day 2-6. Im soooo pleased you mentioned the hot flushes, i have been waking up in a hot sweat! I also had a headache the first day but nothing since.

Strangely, my clinic made me take northisterone before clomid to control the day my a/f started to ensure the clinic scan days fell on a week day. Whilst i didn't like taking it, i suppose it helped knowing when my period would start.

Anyone else find clomid made your period shorter and painful?????

Just an update, I finally got through to my fs. She is going to give me provera to start my af! Hopefully I will have it by the end of the week!!!!!!

I am so excited.... I know this is odd but I am looking forward to hot flushes and everything! Lol.

hi,im on cd14 and for the past 2 days have been feeling ovulation pain, it got worse yesterday but has stopped now, im hopeful clomid is doing its job, good luck in starting yours!! xx

I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm waiting to start my 2nd round of clomid but because I had an early miscarriage after my 1st round my AF is messed up. On average my cycle length is 29.2 but I'm now on CD37 and it's so frustrating especially when I now know that clomid does work magic! It is funny how I used to pray for my AF not to arrive but now I'm praying that it would just hurry up and get here.
