I Think I Might Have Two In Here !!

Hello Everyone,

Im 11 weeks pregnant and have what I think is a REALLY big belly already. It starts from right under my boobies too. I expected a little pop belly, but not a full on belly like I have so early on. This is my first baby too.

Do you think I could be having twins?

About 4 years ago I had my palm read and the woman told me that when I get pregnant I would have twin girls. One would be a little diamond, good as gold and the other would be a little nightmare.. How funny lol or not lol

I have my first scan on 22/10/2007 if it turns out she was right my partner said he would drive all the way down to sunny Clacton to shake her hand lol

Wow! That would be abit mad. Will just have to wait and see i suppose! How exciting! i think everyones different in how much they show how early on. Depends on lots of things like size before pregnancy, morning sickness etc. Would you be happy if it was twins or would you find that abit daunting.I'm finding the idea of one quite daunting myself lol

I'd cry like a baby if I am having twins !! lol

I imagine one little baby to be more than enough hard work but two... Oooh I hope its just one..

Its the expense as well, double everything.. I'd just have to get on with it though..

I've got a midwife app on the 17th, do you think she will be able to tell ?

Just to say, I only have 1 little baby girl BUT although it would be more expensive, in a way it would probably be better to have twins.. you'd get all the hard work out of the way at once, nappies all at once, they can share their clothes, 1 steriliser etc etc! Think about spending more money in years to come if you eventually decided it was time for number 2. Im sure you'll be fine even if it is twins.

You do sound big for 11 weeks.. hopefully the midwife can tell, but probably can't confirm it until you get your scan.

Yeah thats what my mum keeps saying !! lol

My scan is on the 22nd so hopefully I'll know soon !! I'll end up being shocked if they tell me its one baby.

You'll cope whatever the outcome! She might be able to tell but they do say it doesnt come past the pelvic bone for a few weeks its the water weight that makes you so bloated apparently so don't get your hopes up. OOhh cant wait til you've had your scan...the suspense!! I've got my anomaly next week to find out if its pink or blue and thats dead exciting!!

Yeah its like im very bloated..

I know, Im so excited to know if its one or two, but to be honest, I'll be over as long as they tell me everything is healthy and normal.. Thats the main thing after all..

Wowsa so you'll know the sex next week, oh my god !! Sooo exciting !!!

dont feel bad if its only one--- u could just be bloated --- or u put on a little too much weight too quickly---but dont worry if u did that goes away soon and then u look really good in ur pregnancy ---not bloated but a pretty baby bump--- and hey twins would be great too --dont get me wrong---i too was hoping for twins when i was all bloated and thinking i was getting fat but then it slowed big time now the belly gets rounder (22 weeks) but the weight gain is like considerably low ---so u could be one of those people that put it on early and then barely anything for the rest of ur pregnancy---but hey what do i know this is my first as well (oh and a boy at that) maybe its the way u carry it or that its all up front or kind of low or all three that makes it seem bigger than it really is ---esp since baby for u would be only about 2-4 inches now and weighs practically nothing

Bump Update !!

Well I went to meet my midwife today and she started off my saying

"I wont feel your belly as your only 11+3 so I wont be able to feel baby yet and I wont try to listen to the heartbeat either because its to early and we wont be able to pick it up yet"

So I said "Oooh damn, so you wont be able to tell me if theres two in here then"

Her eyes went all big and she said "might there be two?"

"I think theres two yeah" I said with a worried look on my face... lol

"Jump up on the bed then dear" she goes..

I popped the massive belly out and her eyes nearly popped out of her head !!

She started telling me my dates must be wrong because i feel about 15 weeks.. now I know my dates are really accurate...

Then she started pouring that gel stuff on my belly... and got that doppler thing and started listening.. it was all fuzzy then right low and over my right side I heard a heartbeat !!!

It was really fast but sounded strong to me..

Then fuzzy in the middle..

Then over on my left side bump bump bump bump.. I heard another heartbeat !!

I looked over to my mum who had the biggest grin on her face and was nodding at me lol

she wiped my belly and just went and sat down...

So I was like.. Erm hello.. Didnt you hear that lady !! (in my head, not out aloud of course)

Then I saw her write 'Twins ??' in my notes and then she said, well just wait until your scan on Monday.. Im not sure yet..


HOW ANNOYING !!!

I do understand she doesnt want to commit herself and be wrong..

So Monday is the day now !!! Come on Monday !!!

Congradualtions....amazing to hear little heart beats!!!!
I just found out that I am pregnant... two psychics a while back have told me that I will have triplettes...yicks, after reading your messages... i have butterfies in my tummy... I look forward to reading about your scan!!

Yeah I do Mango, on every side, My mum and dad and my OH mum and dad all have twins in their family.. The midwife was being very careful with what she was saying, but I could just tell she thought it was two heartbeats and two likkle babies because she kept saying 'babies' after !! lol

She even said what kind of birth would you like, oooh hang on you might need a c-section with twins... But Im not saying it deffo is, just wait and see.. lol

ha ha

Yeah babycate I never believed palm readers, never, ever, I thought it was all rubbish.. But things this woman told me actually started to happen, which freaked me out a bit.. So when I found out I was preggers, I could hear her voice in my head saying "Oooh you'll have twins, two girls!!"

Ooh its so spooky...

I really cant wait til Monday now !!

its possible but they could be hearing the same heartbeat in both places----when i was taht early they could hear it all over the belly but it was only one---but if u have them in ur family its quite possible--- and about measuring larger that may be in ur favor in the twin department---or if its only a singleton ---then u may very well be further along than u thought---there are some people who continue to have thier periods in the begining---but i dont know of any --- no matter what---congrats and hope all goes welll---no matter what ur having

Well today's the day, at work at the mo, waiting to leave at 12pm, the apppointment is at 2pm today.. I feel scared and excited all at the same time..

Wish me luck, I'll post an update as soon as I get home this evening !!
