Hello ladies :flower:

I have been going through Sophie's toys today to try to make them more organised, and I just feel in chaos :haha:

They're all just shoved into crates at the moment and that's not too bad - but the worst thing is her hundreds of cuddly toys! I couldn't believe how many she has when I took them all up to her room today. I've got them on shelves, the top of her wardrobe, top of her chest of drawers and windowsill but her room just looks so overcrowded!!

Anyone got any ideas for storage (not too expensive?)

Thank you :flower:

Maybe some of those shallow storage tubs that you can slide under cot/bed? Think i'm going to get some as have the same problem! x

ETA; Also maybe have a good sort through and just pick a few favourites out and put the rest in a vaccume bag, up the loft? You can always swap round every few months x

what about something like this for the soft toys https://www.littlezookeepers.co.uk/home.asp
It's expensive I guess. Are you or anyone you know 'handy'? I would probably try (and fail!) to make it myself.

My son doesn't really have many soft toys but I use lots of storage ideas from Ikea. Like this :)

We have a toy hammock in the corner of the room, it was a fiver off of ebay x

Does she play with the cuddly toys? Do you want to keep them?

We've been given so many its untrue...and I've decided to keep the sentimental and special ones and maybe give the others away to charity?

The other thing we did was get a hammock type thing that hung from the ceiling from ikea, it wasn't overly expensive but you can put a fair few in them?

We hqve two of these in lo's room full of stuffed toys and she takes out a couple at a time to play with.

We have a toy hammock in her room, and rotate the toys now and then so she doesn't get bored. We are going to give a lot to charity though, she has loads!

I had wondered about one of these, but then I read the only review that was available (I saw them on Amazon) and it said it wasn't any good and that the holes were too small. Would you say the holes were a decent enough size to get medium sized and small animals into?

She plays with some of them but not all....I do want to keep them though because they are all sentimental - they were all given to her when she was born (at 27 weeks so you can see why they're extra special!)

I might get a hammock and one of the things from Ikea that someone else suggested :flower:

Thank you :)

The holes are quite small, but I can fit in decent sized teddies with a bit of squishing! Then just sit them upright once they are in and fit smaller teddies around them. I put bigger ones higher up and smaller ones at the bottom so lo can get them out herself.

You could always take a teddy for a trip around ikea (any excuse! I LOVE ikea!)

We've got a great storage unit from IKEA. I can't remember how much it was but it wasn't stupidly expensive. It has varying sized tubs you slot into it - we have 1 big - 3 middle, 2 small and 2 extra small. If his room is tidy it basically fits all his toys in it - plus some of his sisters

We have one of those, there are several sizes, we went for the medium one. I love laundry baskets from Ikea, you can find them in the kids area. We have 3 & they fit medium & small size toys. we also have a bookcase For larger toys, it's easier t o store larger toys & teddies.

Arrgh Soft toys, the bane of my life.

They have gone to soft toy Heaven.

I have these.

And a massive toybox i got from eBay.

Completely understand why you want to keep them!! We have the ikea 'step' type storage where you can put in trays of tubs and put what you want in.

ATM the majority of the soft toys we have are in the wardrobe...they just don't get played with and it seems that everytime a member of our family go away, they both get one. (I've 4 sisters, OH 2 brothers, 3 sets of grandparents and 2 sets of great grandparents...you get the drift )
