My younger sister is turning 18 in November. We live in Berkshire and she is OBSESSED with Paris. She wants to do something French themed for her birthday, but the majority of her friends aren't 18 for a while after her.

Does anyone have any ideas?!

I suppose a day trip to Paris on the Eurostar is totally out of the question?

You could have a stereotypical party with food set up like they have it in the bakeries and chocolate shops (this was one of my favourite things about Paris) and stock up on truffles and macaroons, and have cakes and cocktails and have jazz music playing.

Moulin Rouge mocktail party?

Otherwise, use Cafe Rouge menu and host a French themed dinner party?

thank you for lovely ideas!! Alice Cooper; she went to Paris just 2 weeks ago with her bestie for a pre-birthday gift to herself! I had thought of that though, thank you.

I love the idea of a Parisian birthday tea though, thank you!!

There are some ideas on Pinterest as well to help you out: https://www.pinterest.com/bpartyideas/paris-themed-birthday-party/

Watch bridesmaids lol she had the Paris themed bridal shower!

Tea sounds like a great idea yum! And suitable for under 18s

Could you do done sort of fashion show/ party games since it's Paris?

Food should be easy, since Paris/France is well known for it's cuisine. Croissants, crepes, and other pastries. Fondue, maybe?

For decorations, the first things that come to mind are fluer de lis and the Eiffel tower. Maybe visit a craft store and see what you can find? They're both fairly popular motifs. Or you might be able to find something for party favors if you're doing that.

You could keep the decorations very black and white, maybe make a stencil outline of paris skyline/ famous sites and put them across a wall or window. Plus pastel coloured floral touches for that cutesy element.
Of course, mini pastries would work well, mini baguettes and some delicate cakes.
Sounds so lovely! I getting excited at the thought of such a wonderful theme.
(Can't stop being reminded of the birthday in Bridesmaids!)
