My baby is up all night, will only sleep on boob, but I am afraid I will smother him. If i put in bassinet, swing, bouncer, he wakes up. He sleeps mostly in day, but I have a 6 year old to care for during the day...so I am up 24 hours.

Could your husband watch your six year old during the day so you can sleep?

I sleep whilst feeding. I had OH stay awake and watch me first couple of times until I realised how aware of baby I was, even when asleep and how there was no chance I would roll on her.

same here - but I also try to nap when DD naps x

Thats tough with 6 year old, but we talked to him this morning that he may have to watch a movie while mommy sleeps.

It's perfectly safe for a bfing mom to bedshare with her baby, as long as you're not overtired and haven't been drinking or taken sleep inducing drugs. You won't roll over and squash him, honestly, you will be aware he's there even while you sleep

Yep, bedsharing. I have no idea how people manage without it. I feel much safer with my children sleeping next to me.

I bedshare. Never thought I would, but it was (and still is) the only way for me to get some sleep.
