Just a quick update.. evening of day 3 with no AF.. keep feeling crampy like AF and have had some sharp pains.. but she is still a no show. Bought more tests tonight. Probably will take another one soon. Calling the doctor in the morning because I haven't been late in 7 months and since I'm high risk I need to know if I am ASAP.
Hubby is more excited for a + this cycle, or should I say he's actually voicing his excitement this month, so that is going to make it so much harder for a BFN

sorry to bring bad O news. Here is what the just mommies site has to say about positive OPK but not necessarily ovulating...


"If you get a positive OPK does that always mean you will ovulate?

Even if you confidently have a positive ovulation test result, this doesn’t mean you will ovulate. Ovulation tests do not confirm ovulation; they merely tell you what is going on with your hormones. The hormone LH is detected in your urine by the ovulation test. The tests are designed to indicate when your LH levels reach a certain threshold. When LH reaches this level, the test will indicate a result that matches the control line or is darker than the control line. This only tells you that you have enough LH in your system to represent that a surge is most likely taking place. It doesn’t tell you if the surge accomplishes what it is supposed to.

You can have a rise in LH and then not ovulate. Sometimes a woman’s body will gear up to ovulate, including getting an LH surge, but then still not ovulate. It could be that she is ill or under a lot of stress, delaying ovulation. Women with conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) or POF (Premature Ovarian Failure) may have higher than normal LH levels which may interfere with the results of an ovulation test. Because these women have a higher than normal baseline level of LH in their systems, it may make testing less accurate because their bodies needs to reach a higher LH level to indicate a surge than the average woman. Women taking Clomid might also have issues with false positive ovulation tests, especially if they test shortly after taking the drug. Since Clomid increases a woman’s FSH and LH levels, OPK results may be affected."

I just saw something else that said that your body can "try" to ovulate several times before it's successful. The only other real line I've had on my opk's was January 14th. Not a positive, but I was surprised the 15th was not darker, and had in fact gone back to having barely any colour at all. So maybe it has tried to O twice in January. I just want a regular period. Getting pregnant in March or April would be absolute perfect timing....so I'm no less unsure than I was before, lol

Still no idea what's going on with me but I think I'll eventually get AF as all HPTs are BFN. Hopefully AF will come soon so I can start trying again.

Day 4 of no AF for me and no + HPT.. left a message with my obgyn to see what I need to do. The pains on my left side worry me.. when I used to get cysts they were always on the right but idk this feels different.
Will update when they let me know what I need to do.

Hey ladies

Just checking in- 5 dpo for me. Im actually pretty calm about not testing this time. I dont think the twice we did it will amount to much so no sense wasting money.

I did however have a vivid dream last night that I took a CBD and it said positive 1-2 lol.

Also making 0 attempt to symptom spot. I did that so much last cycle I drove myself mad.

Look for my next tests around March 10th lol

Well my OPKs are negative now. At least the one yesterday was, haven't done one today so maybe whatever was making my cycle wonky is done now and I can get AF soon?

Evening of Day 4... no call back from the nurse this afternoon. They were really unconcerned and tried to give me the run around. Totally not like them at all so it upset me.
I just got home from class and went to the bathroom. When I wiped, there was some bright red blood on the tissue and a tiny bit in the toilet. I immediately started to cry. I am holding out hope that it isn't AF and that maybe I had a late implanter or something. Either way, it is now a waiting game to see how heavy it gets and maybe the doctor's office will call me in the morning and let me have a blood test anyway. I don't see why its a problem to let me have a blood test done-- its not hurting anyone.

Anyway - time to do some homework and hope that this is not AF on her way in....

Dove- the month that I had conceived I didnt use opks and this last month I used em for the first time and I think they stressed me out everyday so maybe that didnt help me at all.

Yeah, opks are a double stresser.. I've never gotten a + but obviously I O and get pregnant. No sense! I guess I'm just one of those people! I think I'll test one more time in the morning just to make sure for sure for sure but I'm out I think.. Sadly..
Baby fever has hit me hard! All our friends have newborns-6 mos and I miss it so much. I juggled Emilia and a baby the other night and she LOVED the baby. It was so sweet. I know it won't typically be like that, but it's given me a drive again to keep trying! As well as hubby's "we're TTC NOW" speech. He thinks I'm getting too negative about it!

Yea leah no more opks for me! My LO when she sees a baby she says "aww baby is cute" lol so I know she will be a wonderful sister one day. Hopefully February is our month.
