Meagan, I did that exact same google search last week!!!! The answer is, EWCM can be before, during, OR after O. Typically it will dry up within a day of O. So really my answer is no help at all but it might save you some internet time.

IF i ovulated later than Thurs, which is the last day I had ewcm, id be 10/11 dpo.. so I guess theoretically I could be off... maybe I ovulate after ewcm? It could explain why i've been unsuccessful thus far- we haven't BDd *on* my o day nevermind days after! ( except this cycle, we BDd on Fri, which was the day after ewcm) so who knows! I wouldn't mind keeping a bit of hope alive.

Haha Sara! I deduced the same thing!! It wasnt helpful in the sense it could be anytime before, during or after ewcm but it did give me hope if im an "after" girl!! Would explain why I havent gotten pregnant thus far!

I don't get ewcm at all so can't help from experience but I have read ladies say they get it before o it then it dries up just before o... But like I said, I have no idea about it really!

EWCM is baffling! I always assumed it meant you were ovulating- so hubby and I didnt try after I see it. ( I have sex related UTI issues, the more we do it the better I chance getting one, so I usually slow it down after ewcm to let my bits rest )

Maybe this is my problem! Might bust out some OPK for next cycle if this one is a bust to test my theory lol

I think this is worth looking into Meagan. I always BD one time after I think I O just to cover all bases. If your theory is true and you are drying up before O you should add on a BD and use some preseed.

Blood in my cm- I think that pretty much means AF will be right on time and in time with my earlier O date. Bah.

Ive been reading this thread for a while I hope you ladies dont mind!

I just wanted to say that with the ewcm thing I too was under the impression you o'd when you had it but mine had dried up completely for two whole days.
Went away in the evening then nothing the next day or the day after.
it was that last evening we dtd (one of two times that month, the 2nd being a week or so later)
I honestly.thought I was out based on ewcm but I got pregnant from that so maybe some ladies do o after it goes away? It was true at least in my case, I was completely shocked even though it was planned.

Meagan I have made myself crazy with all of that lol
I have only ever had noticeable EWCM twice. A couple months ago and this last month.
I'm pretty sure I O after it though because I saw EWCM one day and didn't see my solid smiley until the next night.

Unfortunately I can't do that. I get UTIs from frequent sex. If I started at day 8 on ( which I did do one cycle and tried every other day BD ) I end up with a nasty UTI. It happened in November on the cycle I did try every other day right after AF and by the day of my ovulation I was horribly uncomfortable and we didn't even BD.

I'll just have to keep at it as is an hope it works at some point !

13dpo (cd38) and no AF.. this is officially my longest cycle since coming off BC if the stupid witch does decide to show up.

No AF here and so far the small bits if blood in my cm have gone away. Woke up with that heavy feeling like she was coming so I think it'll be tomorrow
