Well, that was short, and I wish I could say sweet.
Unfortunately, it obviously wasn't meant to be. It was confirmed at the hospital yesterday that my hcg was down to 2, so chances are my pregnancy was gone when I tested on Friday, but the levels were still high enough to register. That probably explains why the line tests weren't getting any stronger.
So I've been signed off work for 3 weeks, and I'm going to try and get some counselling during that time. We go back for a treatment review on January 7th, and then we'll decide when we go again. While I'm hurting at the moment, I had always told DH that if the treatment didn't work, I wanted to get straight back into it. DH is keen to go again, but only when I feel ready. So the sooner I get my head round this lost pregnancy, the sooner I will be able to cope with another treatment cycle.
I'm probably not going to be around too much over the next few weeks. So good luck to anyone having tests, good luck to anyone having treatment, and everyone have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2009 will be a great year for us all...
