So how does Clomid work I'm a bit nervous about taking it what are the side effects and does it contain hcg in it I will will call my doctor and ask him tomorrow as I forgot what he said last month when he gave me the prescription for Clomid I'm so upset I been crying on and off today af showed up early this month !

Hi. I am sorry you are frustrated. TTC can be so frustrating! Hang in there, and take a break if need be! Clomid works by taking it for five days (typically somewhere between days 2-5 to start) and it's usually taken in 50mg, 100mg, or 150mg doses per night. If successful it should help you to get a nice follicle or two. It's kinda the first line fertility drugs doctors prescribe, and the risk for multiples is very low in comparison to injectables. Some side effects are hot flashes, moodiness, and headache. It doesn't contain HCG, but if you are using a trigger (an injectable drug to cause you to ovulate) in conjunction with clomid, the trigger contains HCG. Hope this helps!

Everyone trying to conceive for a long time has frustration. It's normal but don't let it stay with you too long, okay?
Being positive is also a very important mission in TTC process. It's hard to be carefree when you have fertility difficulties but keep trying and rest whenever you need it. Doing exercise and yoga can help you. I personally believe oriental medicine and acupuncture helps stabilize and balance your physical and emotional health. You could give it a try. Good luck. The best is yet to come. Everything will be great soon. Believe it :)

Hi, I agree with girls' posts above. If you want to be a happy mum and have a child you should stay positive and never, never give up. Keep my fingers crossed.
