Am so thirsty all the time, Am worried it could be Diabetes, I got my GTT on 26th oct, but am seeing the nurse tomorrow, will mention it to her when I see her, but not sure what she will do.
If its diabetes will it be tablets or insulin injections?

Becky... i am going through same thing, but this is normal in pregnancy. especially at this stage. your body is getting bigger which means more heat produced, making you thirsty, baby is demanding more, more thirsty etc etc etc, also, your body is producing alot more blood now. which means your water intake almost doubles. today at work in four hours i consumed a 1.5 litre bottle of water and then bought another. just because i was active and i was hot.
i think if you mention it to your midwife she will say same thing nearly as this is what i was told by my midwife with my first 8yrs ago xx

Thankyou for putting my mind at rest, have been worried about it cuz my OH has just been diagnosed with diabetes and his symptom was being thirsty all the time

obviously if you are still worried chick, ask, but honestly, its mental how much my fluid intake has been.
and my friend was exactly the same too when she was recently pregnant, she asked me too, and her mom who is a nurse, lol.
only downside is the amount of times we go to the toilet in half an hour, lol

thanx,
Lol I might as well move into the toilet

i count myself lucky as i have both upstairs and downstairs loo, so both are never occupied at once.
unfortunately, nothing you can do about that and it only gets worse as baby gets waaay bigger and uses your bladder as a cushion, trampoline or punchbag. thinking you desperately need a wee and will do a mad dash to find one, and getting there its 2 drips, is slightly annoying.
