me again
I have already done quite a bit of searching on internet on this matter, and everything seems to go. In general, they seem to say that you can't better the results, however, I have read quite a number of cases where the results have been significantly lower when done a few cycles later so not sure how that could be.
I have also read that on its own, fsh results are not reliable, even though it is the figure FS rely on. There seem to be a more reliant test to assess ovarian reserve (hma or something resembling it!)
Then I have read about women falling pg naturally even with a high level and carying to term, so even though it might make it more difficult, it doesn't mean that it can't happened. I read somewhere something quite useful. It showed quantity of eggs as dots, red ones as bad eggs and green ones as good. With a higher fhs results, there were not so many dots and most of them red, BUT the expert explain that as long as you ovulate, you can still release a green one, just not as often. IVF will help select the green ones.
I read about DHEA and how it can indeed help improve reserve, but there was no scientific grounds to it, and overall, the statements from users seemed inconclusive. However, don't think there is anything to lose by trying it. You are under the care of a top consultant, so he should have a good view on this.
What I have read on those forums is that you should definitely not think that your chances are over, and not let the experts tell you so. It is possible to fall pregnant with a higher level. Yours is only a bit higher than what they like to see, so definitely not making conception impossible. I can understand though how with your situation, it must feel quite unfair.
I can't remember when you appointment with the consultant is, but hope it is soon and that he can reassure you that with IVF, your chances to become a mum yourself are perfectly realistic.
