Indeterminate hCG blood test?

Did a HPT yesterday and got a faint BFP so I ran to the lab and did a beta hCG test and it came back "indeterminate" with an hCG level 5.2.

So I got up this morning and did another HPT and again a faint visible BFP!

Why isn't the blood test showing a positive if it's more sensitive than HPT?
When do u think I should test again?
I'm 3 days past AF due!!!!

remember, all levels start out at 0! Maybe your bloods were just pulled really early! They consider anything under a certain number (I think 10-15) inconclusive. It sounds to me like you just don't have enough hcg built up quite yet. As long as your lines continue to darken I'd say you've got a sticky seed in there! congratulations

My test will be done on Wednesday, so ur doing it before me, can u plz let me know ur hcg level and status!?

I went back on Friday and apparently they told me it was "too early for numbers" which is a bunch of b.s. but whatever. I will see real results on Monday. At the doc's office they gave me a free blood test and it came out positive. The nurse said it was just soo early. but I am concerned because I have seen levels at as high as 300 or something on other websites so early. I hope things turn out for both of us.

Well congrats for the positive test ;-)

I've been doing HPT since last Wednesday and I can see the difference in the results, the lines keep getting thicker and darker every day do maybe by the time a go on Wednesday for my hcg level test it will be sognificantly higher, I hope so

My lines are still kind of faint at first, it still takes time for the darker lines to form, so I am more worrie that it won't stick around. I really think yours will stick though.

Hey, wanted to give a quick update. This morning I called the doc's office and they said my level was at 96! So I am pregnant. Still a little worried about the low number, but it was pretty early when I tested. They want me to come back in to make sure things are going right, so I will be going back in on Monday, and things should be up around 1500 by then.

Then they want to do an ultrasound..

I think yours will turn out to be fine too. I hope you get your results quickly, that was probably the worst part, was waiting.

Hey katrin, good to hear that ur levels are doing well, don't worry hcg should be flying up soon, it just needs time.

As for my blood test, I rescheduled it to Saturday, cause I wanna see it high and not be disappointed - but I've been feeling low and quizzy lately, so maybe these are signs of hcg increasing

What dpo were u when u had ur test and it was 96? I'm now 18 dpo! I'll see!

Hmm, I don't know exactly, because I wasn't using any OPK's, but my guess is somewhere between 13 and 15.

I think that's what happened, and I was just so early when I went in that there was just very little hGC in my system. Its crazy that I got a positive on an FRER though, that was one sensitive stick.

I was given an inconclusive urine test last week when my level in my urine was only 48 and they wouldn't give me a positive until I was over 50 but anything over 5 in the uk is positive. Congratulations. Xx
