I LOVE crafting and I LOVE Christmas, I thought I would start my very first thread on how we can all give each other ideas on cheaper / craftier ways of giving this season...

My 1st idea is...
I know we would all like to give to our children's Aunts/Uncles... but it is not always possible. I am a very LOVING & PROUD Auntie...several times over lol... and whenever one of them make me something I am so proud that they thought of me.
I figure if we take our little ones and sit them down to a family craft night and take out our dollar store crafts, we could make some really nice gifts. Let them know who they are making it for and ask them what they think that person would like...like colors or maybe buttons instead of beads...that kinda stuff.
Well ...that's my 2 cents lol...

I am making some members of my family teddy bears for Christmas. I just buy a cheap cashmere or fleece jumper from ebay or the charity shop and make simple teddy bears, you can really personalise them and if you give them cute enough faces, name tags and personalities people (hopefully) will love them! I can get about 4 teddies from one jumper!

few ideas from me:

last year i made my 2 eldest and best mates 2 girls sock monkeys!!! 1 pair sockk from £1 shop, 2 buttons for eyes and bag toy stuffing, i stitched by hand not machine. https://www.craftbits.com/project/sock-monkey

i also made photo calendars - a pic of the boys on each month (some were individual pics others were together - they were the slimline (2 months per A4 page of paper). the family have asked IF i am doing them again this year.

bookmarks - thin card, let kids paint/draw/write on it, put it through laminator, punch a hole in it and add wool tassles.

Just found this on a website site.. i LOVE it, i don't know who to give it too tho!!
