Infertility and emcs - how long to wait until ttc?

I'm only 6 weeks post emcs ( i got eclampsia) but we had such a hard time getting pg i planned to not use contraception again.....it's unlikely i'd fall pregnant naturally but if i did how great is the risk of a repeat pg so soon?

I really couldn't wait a year or two too ttc, it might take us years again and with my fibroids it might not even be possible to have another LO....I would be really upset to think waiting might ruin any chance of a 2 nd child

I have my 6 week nhs check up next week - am i going to get scare stories and a telling off for no contraception?

I like you dread going for my 6 weeks check, I have had 5 sections so far. I had the mini pill for a few months after my 1st but always forgot to take it on time. So in the end just kept an eye on my own fertility.

After the other four sections, I have just told them I have not thought about it right now and until I do we will use condoms. They usually just accept it. You don't have to use them, just say it to get them off your case. They will give up leaflets and things to take home. I only ever visit my GP when pregnant so they never get the chance to follow up on what I am using.

Just stand your ground, after all it is your body, if you don't want to put anything into it that is only your decision to make.

I am sure you will be just fine, relax and stop stressing about it. xx
