Inky weight loss journey....a boring story lol!!!

Hi couldn't think of a more interesting title, so that one will do. So in February after my son was born I weighed 14 stone and 8 pounds. Now I weigh 12 stone and 1 pound. My BMI is 28 and I still have a stone to lose. Ive been sticking to weightwatchers old points and calorie counting. I don't get to do the exercise I would like as have an 8 month old and a 35 month old. They keep me busy. Generally I run around after them. Sometimes I run around back garden. At the moment diet is what I can control so sticking to this. However, last night got up and had two jam tarts. Very naughty. I think it's because it's nearly that time of the month. I'm starting this weight loss journal to try and get the rest of the weight off. maybe can use as a food diary sometimes, but also can keep a record of weight. I did start a facebook group for mums in my local area, but the people that kept invading the group were people that are very sporty and needed to lose weight for sporting events. The group was designed for the likes of myself, the mums were also obsessed with weight loss to improve looks, but mines for health. So I gave the admin role to a personal trainer and now I'm going it alone. The other thing I need to say is I have an underactive thyroid. Am medicated but does slightly make weight loss harder. However because an underactive thyroid is linked to diabetes. I need to get the weight off. I was a nurse for years so have some knowledge. That said, I'm quite laid back about it and will have the odd cheat day. Anyway baby crying so better attend to him!!!
 
So today going to have a low carb day as really want to get under 12 stone!!!! See how it goes.
 
Well not turning out a good week generally for food. Am having a hungry week and although not overeating I don't think I'm eating little enough to lose the weight. Today I've been better. Been busy with my venture so haven't really had the time to concentrate on diets. Plus looking after baby and toddler. Today I've eaten. 1 bowl of bran flakes, a toffee crisp, a few magic chocalote stars and a very small plate of pasta with salmon and toasted veg. I've probably had around 1300. May be overestimating. Must not EAT anything else tonight xx
 
So Friday day/evening not good diet wise. My elderly grandmother came over Friday and she had made apple pie. It was delicious. So that ended my diet then I proceeded to eat anything and everything. I didn't eat evening meal. It was a bad day. Yesterday I tried to make up for if with a homemade weightwatchers chicken korma, was lovely. Had bananas and natural yogurt for dessert and a couple of classes of wine. Do probably around 8-900 calories but the day before probably had 2500 so this balanced it hopefully. Weight 12 stone and 3/4 of a pound. Just so want to get below 12 stone. Haven't eaten breakfast or anything yet but I find the more I eat in the morning the less well my diet goes which is contrary to all advice about breakfast being the best meal of the day. I do drink a fair few decaf teas in the morning however so getting something. Think we will have quiche today and salad for dinner. Feel my AF is coming so always a time when I retain fluid and go off diets. Really need to introduce cardiovascular exercise but am so physically tired by children. I don't sit down most of the day. Plus I have my own business so working on weekends. I know excuses excuses. Helps to write down.
 
Diet has been diabolical today. Have picked all day and eaten nothing substantial. Suffer with such bad PMT, wonder sometimes if I should just go with it and eat what I like. Think I've had about 1200 calories today, but not a good diet! Hoping I'm better tomorrow. Will be disappointed by the scales this week as feel
Like fluid building up already. Ro bet I've put on weight tomorrow as this is what happens. Have some green tea which I suppose I should drink! Back on weight watchers old points tomorrow xxx
 
Pmt bad. Want to eat eat eat. Not weighing myself anytime soon, dread to think! I can put on as much as 3 pounds I. The week leading up to AF Aand is so discouraging. Really don't want to go back on the pill for cycle. So many risks associated with it, being over weight and 39 nearly. I talk about my menstrual cycle as it is so part of the way I eat and how I feel about how I look. I almost feel that if I was AF free I'd be happier and more balanced with my diet. There was an article once about how PMT doesn't exist. Well it does and I feel the hormone surge. Wonder if people who breast feed feel better. I expressed but felt all bloated and kind of hot all the time.so not sure. Guess everyone's different. Anyway better go. Happy Monday xxx
 
Good news weight down to 11 stone and 13 pounds. 13 to go ! Bmi now 27 so happy with this! X
