Internet banking.

Hey ladies..just wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen and if it will sort itself out?
Saturday evening my OH went to the shop to pay the water bill and grab some bread and milk. I still have the reciept for it showing it was paid for on my card.

The issue I have is that the £30something isn't showing up as coming out of my available balance on my internet banking. It was the local shop and usually the avaiable balance goes down straight away, then it comes out of my balance a few days later to catch up with the available balance.

It really doesn't look like they are charging me at all.

If I do nothing about it, can I be done for fraud? Should I call up the bank and check? Or call the water company and see if they've received my payment. It's not due until the 8th so I still have time to pay it if something has gone wrong. Should I speak to someone in the shop? Go to an ATM and see what it says I have available?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My available balance online doesn't seem to update immediately - it can take a few days sometimes.
Makes it hard to know exactly what I have to spend!

It can take days to show up. But this past week I have noticed that transactions are taking longer then usual to come off my account - it used to show almost immediately when I had paid - or at least show a decresase in the avaliable amount. It hasnt been.

I am thinking there is something weird going on with the systems! My mate is with Stder and they CLOSED her account, sent her cash out to her in a cheque and bounced all her direct debits then asked her to pay the charges! They have admitted that someething has gone seriously wrong with their system though and she is going to be compensated!

Thanks..I'll keep checking. If it doesn't show up on my transactions or available balance by Thursday I think I'm gna call my bank.
I won't get charged for paying my water bill late, but I'd rather pay it on time!

dont call the bank, call the water company and see if the payment is showing up as in process iykwim

leave enough money in your account to cover it and if it hasnt gone through just pay them over the phone

not sure where fraud would come into it tbh

It would only be fraud if you paid by cheque KNOWING you had no money to cover the cheque.
