Introduce your VIP (Very Important Preemie!)

congrats, shes beautiful. Stay strong, I know you can beat this.

This is my beautiful little girl, Olivia Maye, born 26th July 2010, at 30 week's, weighing 2lb's 1oz. She was delivered early due to mummy being diagnosed with cancer when i was 10 week's pregnant, we were originally told we would only go as far as 24 week's! But we carried right on to 30, where during a doppler, it was discovered i had placenta flow problem's and i was sent in for an emergency cesearean!! Scariest time of my life, but am such a proud mummy! Started treatment now, and although im scared at time's, she fought for me and i will fight for her. Just cant wait to get her home now and cherish every second!!

Oh wow you are one awesome and strong woman! I sincerely hope your treatment is successful and that baby Olivia continues to thrive! Here's to a healthy and happy life together as a family! :hugs: xxx

Abby is now 16 months. She's a couple of months older than Dylan but his birthday is just a week after her due date!

She's doing well, she was 19 and a half lbs when she was last weighed 3 weeks ago so is probably (hopefully!!) around 20lbs now. She's dropped from 75th centile for weight when she was born to 9th centile so we've been a bit worried, but she's eating well so we've not to be too concerned apparently!

She hit most of her milestones around her actual rather than corrected age, and her speech is well in advance of her actual age, however, she isn't even crawling yet, never mind walking. She even had trouble sitting properly. We're seeing a physiotherapist though so that is definitely helping. All in all she's come through the whole thing with no concerns.:happydance:

This is Honey, Born at 24 weeks due to prom she weighed 533 grams and is now 5 years old and OVERWEIGHT lol

Matilda was born in late July this year, at 25 +3 and weighed 850g/1lb14. No idea why really, altho luckily i was in hosp for observation cos of a small bleed.

Anyway, after all the usual ventilation, c-pap, large PDA, 4 blood transfusions, we feel very very lucky that this was all she had to endure in comparison with so many. Her PDA closed of its own accord the day she was due to be transferred for surgery- amazing day!

On day 84 we took her home. That was 2 days ago. I look at her and cannot believe how far she's come. She's now 4lb 8 and has the most beatiful bambi eyes. But I am biased....

Leo was in Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital during July and August x

:hi::hi: to all the new babies.

They are of course, absolutely gorgeous. And I have to say, there aren't enough Matilda's in the world. I suggested it to Mr Foo and he gave an outright NO! I think it is such a lovely name.

I love Matilda and Tilly but got told no too! If we have another girl in the future I may suggest it again as Chloe was his choice!!

Pink, i think i remember Leo! Well, seeing his name on the board anyway...We were in intensive care till the 2nd week of aug. Is he doing ok? I love the name, that's why i remember!

And Matilda is cos of the Roald Dahl book, tho we are calling her Tilda for short. Always loved the name.Though it seems to be popular currently, heard of a few lately. I also liked Clementine, but my husband said no way! Men,no taste....

AND with ref to another thread, Foogirl, Abby's monkey story was just adorable xx
