Anyone know if its ok to have this when you are pregnant, I don't think I am going to eat it anymore it's creating more worries for me.

It's fine! in moderation of course...wrong forum tho

I think it's fine but if it bothers you see if the type of fish is high in mercury. That's the only reason it wouldn't be ok.

It is fine in moderation, but as the previous poster said, it's best to avoid fish that contains mercury.
I love fish and chips but found I couldn't eat it in pregnancy as it made me feel so full and sick!

Your fine to have fish and chips

The only things you need to watch are Tuna, Shellfish, Swordfish, Shark etc...

I lived on fish fingers in the last few weeks of pregnancy. And potato waffles! Havent eaten them before, or since! Lol!

Remember when you were a kid people told you fish was "brain food"? Fish is very good for you and your growing baby. There are very few varieties that you have to avoid ( I bet you are not eating shark or swordfish) and even tuna is ok in moderation (a couple of times a week). White fish is not generally high in mercury so a haddock and chips from the fish and chip shop once a week is totally fine.
