I was giving Chaise cow and gate comfort but he was needing an awful lot of milk (7oz every 2 hours) so we put him onto the cow and gate hungrier babies. He's started getting really bad colic, and last night he wouldn't drink his bottle so I gave him a bottle of cow and gate comfort (I have since been told you shouldn't do this.)

Does anyone know why or how bad it is to do this? I'm not sure what to do because he needs the extra thickness of the hungrier babies but he doesn't get such bad colic symptoms on the comfort :(

Not to sure why but my HV said you definately shouldnt swap or mix formula of any kind. So im not sure its such a good idea..

i had to put zane on hungery baby milk at 2 months cuz hed only drink 4oz bottles every 1-2 hours so hungery baby milk helped him alot i didnt get any problems changing from stage 1 to 2 and now hes on stage 3 with no problems.

Chaise is still only very young so u will encouter problems such as this no matter what u do with his feeds its all trial and error.

Zane had very bad colic for 2 weeks when he was around a month old until he bumped his head and it went but i dont recomend that lol

good luck

I've been informed its not advisable to swap and change also

I have changed formula's 7 times. This last time my day home lady had a full tin of the last stuff so I have kept him on that while he is there for one bottle a day and then the new stuff the rest of the day. He has not had any problems and I am out no money.
