Ok. I cannot rely on my husband to do a good paint job. So I'm going to have to do it myself. I wondered if any of you knew if painting with water based paint would be ok ?

DH and I painted our entire brand new house when I was in second tri. Everything turned out fine. I asked my doctor's office about it beforehand and they said as long as there was good ventilation and I took frequently breaks to get fresh air, it should be perfectly fine.

It's pretty easy to find 0 VOC paint now (at least where I am). The guy at the shop told me if you tint no VOC paint dark (as in you pick a fairly dark colour), it isn't no VOC anymore.

Yep - no VOC paint OR if you have a well ventilated room, take breaks. I even used a mask. Paint is not like it used to be.
