Is she meant to be measuring me?

I'm confused, i hear everyone talking about 'fundal height' measurements, i'm 29 weeks and haven't had this at all. At my 20 week scan, it showed my little boy was on the small side, measuring a few weeks behind what he was meant to be. Is my midwife MEANT to be doing this? Or is it up to them? Bit confused!

It's up to them, however if a measurement is only off by a few weeks from the ultrasound and everything else looks ago, generally doctors won't worry about it. The ultrasound measurements can easily be off by about 2/3 weeks.

My MW started measuring me since my 28 week appointment.

Could be worth mentioning it to her at your next appointment :flower:

I started getting measured at my 20 week appointment so I think it really depends on your doctor. If your worried about it then I would ask your doctor and see what she says

I dont think i started to get measured untill i was in my 30+
I think it just depends on the area
xx

i wouldn't worry at the moment but definitely mention it at your next appointment if she doesn't do it then because it usually starts around 28 weeks and you dont want to leave it too late but it should be fine until next appointment x
