I purchased this off amazon, just wanted to make sure its a real bbt?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000533AY

Also, I had started charting a couple days ago. But I was inconsistent such as missing days, different times, etc. So I want to get rid of all of my previous data (was only about 4 days worth) and possibly start over tomorrow. I am currently on cd 10, so I shouldnt be O anytime too soon since I have longer cycles. Would that be okay to just start over tomorrow? or should I wait until next cycle?

I am also using cbfm and I might use my digi opk. I never knew when I O before so this month, I dont want to miss it!

Looks like the real deal to me hun.

I havn't done any temp charting yet....(only in my 2nd month of TTC, thinking of starting that next cycle), but I figure as long as you aren't near OV'ing soon, then it should be ok to start over tomorrow. Can't hurt can it?

Good luck x

It is not a BBT it only reads to .1 not .01 it has to be simler to this

BBTs do NOT absolutely have to go to the 1/100ths (.01) place. According to Taking Charge of Your Fertility, you can use one that goes to the 1/10ths (.1) place because most women's ovulation rise is .4 to .6 degrees. So even one that goes to the 1/10ths place will catch it. If you go a month without noticing an ovulation rise, you might need one that goes to the 1/100ths place.

Looks ok to me...see how you get on with it and if you feel it's not great then you can always get one that reads to 0.1.

I have longer cycles too and I never bother starting to temp til a good few days into my cycle. Pointless when you know you're not going to O on a perfect day 14....though what I wouldn't give for that to be the case :) Good luck!

It's a bbt, it's like the ONLY one that reads .1 rather than .01. Regular ones will not work though, as long as it's a bbt you're fine :) xx

i use that same exact one and it works fine for me. always been able to see the spikes and dips in temp.

I would only take what TCOYF says with a grain of salt, especially their charting. I've seen them mark ov the day of the temp rise (which pretty much everyone knows that's not how charting works), you ovulate the day before the temp rise. She is not a FS either. xx

That's very true. She's right, though, that most women's temperature rises .4 to .6 degrees around the time of ovulation so as long as a thermometer is a BBT, it should be accurate enough to use for charting.

Oh great, then hopefully ill just see how this is working this month. Have someone check my charts and then just purchase a new one if it seems to not be doing its job
