My 7 day old baby is having between 2 to 3 oz every 2 to 3 hours, but shes just had 3oz and had another oz and a half within 1 and a half hours. An she will want more before bed in another hour!!

Midwife is coming tomorrow. Should I ask about hungrier baby milk? Will she be more satified with that or should I stick to normal sma gold?

It sounds about right to me! If she didnt need it she would spit it up! Feed her when she's hungry :flower:

i just use to give my babies wotever they wud drink, my older boy was very greedy having 5oz at a wk every 4hr, my baby now at this age would have 4oz every 3hr :/ make and oz extra each time so your not having to make up more x

Definatly would not give hungry baby milk to a week old baby.

Its normal for very young babies to want to feed often in the beginning. If your lo is keeping all the milk she is taking down and not throwing up then she is just taking what she needs to support her rapid growth. Definatly speak to your midwife about it though if you are concerned. Im sure she will put your mind at rest.

Congrats on your new baby girl. xxx

thank you. Shes just very different from my 1st, she was only having 1oz every 3 hours.

Try not to worry. My lo started taking 6oz at 5 weeks and all my family were telling me I was overfeeding him. But he's thriving and has settled into feeding every 4hours. Stayed on the same centile too. Baby will only take what he needs and throw up the rest! X

Mine were the opposite! Hannah was having about that much whereas Rhys was only having 1-2 ounces and I worried he wasn't getting enough

I would keep doing what you are doing :)
