Hi everyone

Im started my own thread as I dont know many people on the current testing threads My period is due either Dec 24 if Im a 29 day cycle like last month, or Dec 27 if I am a 32 day cycle like the previous 2 months before the last. I am flying from Canada home to my family in England on Dec 23, it would be wonderful to get a BFP around Xmas time!

I should be ovulating around monday, so will start my ovulation predictor sticks tomorrow.

I dont have time to do an official list, but Id love to have some people join me on this thread to wait out this 2WW. Please post a recap of your situation so we can all keep track. Hoping some of my old buddies will join me too

**For those that remember me from previous thread heres an update: Hubby and I went for our fertility apt on Monday. Good news is there is nothing wrong with either of us from the blood tests. I had an ultrasound that day so will wait to see what that shows....the woman asked me if I spotted inbetween periods, I said yes why and she said she isnt allowed to comment, so I asked the fertility woman why she would ask that and she said oh she may have seen a polyp and its nothing to worry about. So I guess I will wait and see those results.

They have sent me for a sono which I am going for Dec 22, if anyone has had that can you explain what happens? Hubby needs to go for a semen analysis, but as he has to abstain from ejaculating 2-5 days before the analysis we will have to wait as I need his sperm the next week!!

We had a good talk with the specialist, she said that 10 months of trying when you are 38 is not unusual, she would be more worried I was 28 and nothing had happened for 10 months. She was saying that our bodies are actually very inefficient when it comes to making a baby and on an average regardless of age you have a 20% chance each month of conceiving.

I mentioned to her about preseed and she said that shed prefer me use nothing, or if I need something just egg white! she said that any studies for presseed have been done by presseed themselves and she is not convinced any lube is completely sperm friendly.

I was trying to figure out whether to have sex everyday after my smiley ov test, she said if I usually ovulate on CD17 then having intercourse CD15, 17, and 19 should be sufficient. So I think I will try the every other day thing rather than the sperm meets egg program we have been doing.

So theres still a chance the ultrasound/sono might show something or hubbys sperm test, but the blood tests were absolutely perfect so I was happy with that.

I'm not due AF at Christmas, I'll be about 8dpo on Xmas day,(Ooh, Festive !) but I'd like to drop in for mince pies and sherry along the way if I can?
I'm glad that your blood results are good, as your doc says the body is pretty inefficient at making babies, well mine certainly is at the moment

Oh yes, interesting what you, or doc, said about preseed. I can't help but noticing that on loads of internet "successful cycle symptoms" sites, loads of women say "and I used preseed for the first time the cycle I fell pregnant" and then keep going on about preseed....I smell a rat.
That said I have some ttc buddies who say it feels really nice

AF for me is due around 12/23. I'm currently on CD 15, and am waiting to Ov. I'm normally a late ovulator (CD 18 last cycle), but I took soy this month, so I'm hoping I will Ov today or tomorrow. I'm following the Sperm Meets Egg Plan this cycle, and hubby and I have BD'd on CD 8, 10, 12, and 14. Just waiting for that pos opk!

This is our 2nd cycle TTC baby #1.

yes theres lots of people who get pregnant with it, so its easy to think its that. didnt kylarsmom get pregnant first month using that? but perhaps she would have anyway without it, so we cant say for sure its the preseed. I used it for 2 months and nothing so for now Im going to try no preseed and every other night around my O

nice to meet you! I see you are in new zealand how lovely! I was in australia for 3 weeks in Feb, loved it and must visit nz.

I am not going to test unless I get to day 33 with no period! Ive never been a poas addict, I tried one month but I didnt like it!!! too stressful. I prefer to expect that Im not pregnant, so if I am Im going to be the most shocked person on here!

hi! nice to meet you. I tried the sperm meets egg plan the last 3 months, this month just going to BD cycle day 15, 17, & 19.
my specialist said most people ovulate 24 hours after they get their positive ov test, I get my positive on CD17 usually so assume I ovulate on CD18. When you say it was CD18 last cycle how do you know out of interest? do you do the pee sticks or have that kit thing.

I had a miscarriage on the 18th October at nearly 3 months, and we are on our first cycle since first AF post miscarriage. My AF started 22nd November, and I think I ovulated yesterday. We have been BD every other day since last Thursday, and next AF is due xmas eve!!

Well Im on CD12 & expect to Ov today or tomorrow, I dont use opk because I find they stress me out & I can never get a decent line. I dont temp because I wake at different times each day & when I did try I kept forgetting about it. But Im pretty sure I can tell once I have ov'd.

I have had day 3 & 21 bloods taken last month & the results were fine, so we just need to get DF in for his SA, we have the slip to take to the lab but as he needs to restrain from ejaculating for 7 days we are waiting to see what happens this month, then he can hold off while I have AF - unless she doesnt come!!

Hello! I would love to join you all if I may. I am 24 ( will be 25 on Dec. 27) and my DH is 24 also. We have a 3 year old son together and have been NTNP for the past 3 months, but this is our first month actually TTC..very excited!! With my son we NTNP for about 6 months and I became pregnant. So my hopes are very high for a Christmas/Birthday BFP! I am currently on CD11. I have anywhere between 28 and 31 day cycles. Sept., Oct. were both 28 days and Nov. was 31. I usually ovulate around day 14-16. AF is due around Dec. 25th-27th so I will be testing Christmas day definitely! I have really came to know my cycle better than I ever have these past few months which I am grateful for..it will definitely help with the TTC journey! I am not temping, using any OPK's or anything this month. I have taken 1 baby aspirin about every other day because I read somewhere how it can help with the bloodflow to the uterus and make for better impantation (now don't quote me on that but it was something along those lines) It said that it definitely wont hurt to take one so I thought I might as well. I will stop taking them after I ovulate just incase I do fall pregnant, I dont think it's good to take them when you are pregnant. I did try preseed last month but after hearing what you and your Dr. say I am a little scared to use it now. But I agree..all of the success stories do sound a bit made up possibly.
Anyway, I am very glad to meet you gals and I am praying for us all to get that Christmas BFP!! How wonderful would that be?!

yes same here, on our sheet it says restrain for 2-5 days. I need his sperm till next tuesday then we are going to try get an apt the week after!!

Nice to meet you too! I use opks, so I got the first positive opk on CD 17, and then they say you usually ovulate within 24 hours of that, so I just say CD 18. Have you ever used those opks before? They've been really helpful so far, I think. Even if it doesn't pinpoint exactly when you're ovulating, it gives you a good idea.

I use the pee sticks where you get a smiley face, is opks different? I know theres a kit people use where you get a line is that what you use. I like the pee sticks as you get a smiley face and so not guessing. but its $50 per month for a pack
i usually get the smiley face on CD17 so I will say CD18 too!
