Hi all,

I'm currently in my tww, 8dpo. This is my 1st round of Clomid 50mg days 8-12. I have pcos and to my knowledge have not o'd on my own in a long time. The fs confirmed ovulation yesterday over the phone! Can not explain how excited I am to be in with an actual shot this month! Dh and I have been LTTTC for 3 years with no bfp. I seriously didn't even think I'd grow a decent sized follie this month let alone o'ing considering we haven't had much luck thus far. It's making me wonder maybe this is THE month. Everything is finally falling into place and going well. I've even imaged to lose a few kilos the month! I hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment but I just can't help but feel It's right.

Congratulations! I have PCOS and start 50 mg Clomid days 5-9 starting next Monday! Your post just gave me so much hope, thank you! Does you MD have you on metformin for the PCOS?

I am taking 2000 mg a day which shortened my cycles from 50+days to about 35. It also helped me to lose about 33 lbs. I think it did help me ovulate occasionally, but I had uterus full of fibroids (14!) that prevented any implantation. I am really hoping that between the Clomid, Met, weight loss and ovarian drilling (my rockstar MD decided to do it while under for my fibroid removal) I will finally get my first BFP!!!

Did you have any side effects from the Clomid? Good luck!!!!

Yes fs has had me on 2000mg metformin for the last several months. I just came off a month of provera (worst month of my life). The day I saw fs was cd8 and he decided to just start Clomid there and then seeing as I don't really have an actual normal cycle anyway. Clomid has been pretty good to me. (compared to provera,it was seriously a month of hell). I've had headaches, dizziness, a little bit of funny vision and just feeling sleepy all the time. Haven't had the real bad hot flushes like a lot of other women get.

How exciting! Are they giving you a monitored cycle? Sounds like you're in good hands

Fingers crossed July will be the month we both get our first bfp's!

I have a good feeling about it! I am doing a monitored cycle with an ultrasound on cd12. I think I will fall over dead if I actually got a BFP after so many BFNs. Here's to a lucky July!
