Wow, the overfill is great to know. my first shot went really well I had to watch a video and read the instructions twice to make sure I had it right! I did mine about 630 by the time I got the nerve up. Its like I was expecting something magical to happen right after. now just continue the shots and wait for the next step. One day at a time :smile:

I'm so glad your first shot went well! I just did my second one and it was over before I knew it! I'm loving not having to mix the meds like I had to with the Bravelle. It's a ton easier just to dial the dose and jab it in. When I switch from the Follistim to Menopur at the end of stimming I'll have to mix it and use a bigger needle. Booo!

Try and take your mind of the succes rates, every woman is very different. I know that is easier said than done. I had to take my facebook tab off my computer so that I would look at others baby pictures. I have also started to do some online shopping too jus to take my mind of of things.

Everything will be OK!

Well IUI#1 was a bust for me and my blood was drawn today and negative. So I'm pondering weather I want to make a appointment to discuss injectables with the doctor or continue with clomid again. They said they wouldn't increase the dose because I ovulated but I need to make sure I ovulate on my open good Left tube side so I don't know what I should do.

Im so sorry to hear that. I didnt respond to the clomid very well either. Injectables are working the way they are supposed to with me so far. I have two more US and some more blood work to do.
Injectables are considerably more expensive!! Plan between 1,000 - 1,500 for the meds alone!

I was wondering how much the meds are. My doc charges 1815 a cycle for injectables and that doesn't include the meds.

I responded well to the clomid and developed 2 big follies but I have one blocked tube so really I only had one follie on my good side. I just wanted more than 2 on my good side and was hoping they would increase the dose to clomid to help increase the follie count but apparantly they don't.

If the meds are that much, I'm just going to have to do the clomid cycle again.

that might be all you need is a higher dose of clomid! Your RE is very fairly priced per cycle. I am paying 2300 just for the office stuff not including the meds. i have the money for this cycle and hopefully not another iui cycle then we have to take a break to save for IVF. Fingers crssed that it happens in December or January!!

Thank-you! I'm glad you said how much your office charges because I was begining to think they were over charging. It's 950.00 for clomid/trigger/IUI cycle- again not including the meds.

I thought I would need a higher dose too but she says they do not increase the clomid dose if I'm ovulating. When I go in for CD3 scans I'm going to make her explain to me this theory and reasoning behind it.

I hope you get your BFP this cycle! It's so expensive and then to get a negative makes it worse! AND while I'm on my rant, HOW IN THE HELL DO 88.6 MILLION SPERM THAT BYPASS THE CERVIX, MISS A EGG???
