So ive been battling with my toddlers fly away, thin, brittle hair, its not thickening up at all at the back and is really thin and whispy! I cant style it at all!

Met up with a friend yesterday who is a hair dresser and she commented that my daughters hair looked like a typical ;johnsons baby shampoo head'!

Apparently its an awfull shampoo and really strips the hair causing it to break and be really fly away and whispy. She has told me to bin the stuff. Also said that it causes cradle cap too, which rings true as my daughter suffered really bad with this when small.

She told me to purchase any other kids shampoo as its better.

Obviously this is just one persons opinion but thought i would share as i will be using something else on my daughter and new baby when it comes.

All johnsons products are horrible, good advice you were given.

I've always used Johnson's for my LO, never had any problems with it. Amelia-Rose lost all her newborn hair around 3 months & it's just starting to grow back properly now, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't down to the shampoo. :)

Im starting to agree! I had to stop using the bubble bath a few months ago as every time she would end up with dry patches of skin on her arms and legs!

I wont be buying there products again! I only purchased them as they are so advertised in the baby isle of super markets and thought that what you must use on babies!

my girls have always used johnsons and never had any problems :)

Johnsons products are full of rubbish. They made a statement last year saying that they promise to remove any harmful ingredient from their products before the end of 2013. If its harmful why is it in a baby product! We use simple. Their products seem to be very good.

Not only do they give my kids a rash, but its perfect shampoo to help strip hair dye out your hair - says it all to me really!

Cradle cap is normal for babies though, even my kids still got it into toddlerhood!

Really? Ive been using johnsons since Lily was born and her is growing really fast and thick

Argh! My daughters hair is awful and I have always used Johnsons!!

This is what my friend told me Atomicpink, that it is used to strip hair dye.

I wont use it again that for sure. Like i said before this is only info my friend told me, just wanted to make others aware.

What shampoo should we be using? I do need to wash my toddlers hair as she gets all manner of things in it.

I have been told by numerous people to avoid all johnson's products as they are awful.

Weird. I've always used Johnsons products and NEVER had a problem.

Another vote for the simple range. I used Johnsons when he was a baby but he suffered from dry skin. Simple is much better

Thanks. I have always groaned slightly over my daughters hair, its just SO thin and frizzy! Her bed hair is awful! Ive just binned the Johnsons shampoo.

I will have a look for naked for kids range, as judging from my other post about Charlie's hair, Siyren is the hair queen!! :haha::winkwink:

Can you get it in normal super market? And will it be ok to use on the newborn when it comes?
