I have just told my mum that we are having problems TTC and are hopefully going to start IVF soon!!!
Its taken a bit of pressure off and im really glad I did it!
I wasnt worried about what she would say, its just that it makes it all real.
I have asked her to keep it to herself though as I dont want everyone knowing.
I even told my boss at work on Monday which I wasnt going to do I dont think I would get the time off work without some understanding of whats going on.
So im feeling so much better now, I just want to get on with it! Going back to see the FS for our follow up in 4 weeks which is when we confirm if we would like to continue.
FX everything else goes as smoothly!!
xx

I've just done the same thing! We told my parents and sister, and DH's parents. It's such a relief to get it off my chest now that we are headed for IVF. I haven't told work and probably won't, but that's because I've only been there for 7 months.

Go us!

I bet it's a massive weight off your shoulders - well done
xx

Good if it made you feel better. Depends on the mum. I know I wouldn´t tell mine, but that´s very personal and everybody is so different.

Glad you feel better x

Congrats Obe for building up the courage and telling your Mum. It is a big thing! I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to tell your Mum enrisa, it must be hard :hugs:. My Mum knows but we don't tell her too much. If she gets overload she seems to shut off and change the topic which hurts. So we tell her the basics and thats it, she means well though.

I'm glad it made you feel better hun! such a relief!I told my mum earlier this year, but she worries too much now..Not sure it was a good idea as I'm having to deal with her being concerned about it aswell as me. But she was asking too many questions all the time, pushing us to have a baby, so I snapped one day and told her that she isn't making things easier as we are trying and not getting anywhere....

Ah well done you!!!! I would love to tell my mum Im even taking Clomid, she is totally against me having more children, so now I dont tell her anything and hopefully IF IT EVER HAPPENS she will come around to the idea!!!! x

Thanks everyone!
Im not telling the rest of the family but im glad ive told my mum. I can understand why some people dont and it must be hard for those of you who cant. But I wish you all luck and lets hope we get that BFP soon. xx

Me and my mom are bestfriends and because I had the ectopic and had to have surgery she pretty much knew from the beginning. It is nice to have someone to talk to and cry too when it all seems too much beside the wonderful BNB crew. She really has been my support through all of this. So glad you were able to talk to your mum about it all.
