alot of people dont give solids at the same time as bottle i allways thought it would have to be quiet close together i dont know why as long as hes getting 3 meals a day right ? and a bottle every 4 hours ? or does it not matter about the 4 hours thing when they get older (obviously not in the night )

my doc recomended to always offer both at each sitting.

because I really need Alasdair to keep taking all his milk and I don't want to risk him not doing it, I give his food after his bottle or try to give it within an hr. I don't know what the 'rules' are for as they get older but I think that really it'll depend on the baby. I think you're right though, logically as long as they're having everything they should be having it shouldn't matter what order it comes in!
