We have sadly had to let our daughter go, you have probably seen my post in Gestational Complications but if not she had severe Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain) and would for certain be born with severe brain damage.

I just want to be pregnant again.... I will never forget my little girl and I know nothing can ever replace the love that I had for her. We did everything we could for her before and after death and we have lots of memories.

We conceived her through IVF (first time round) and resulted with two frozen embryos from the procedure. We are thinking of having these two put back in as soon as we can if they thaw out ok, or we have another two attempts on our medical insurance. My questions are:-

Has anyone received a positive result from FET?
Would you go for a fresh IVF or try the frozen transfer?
How soon after the birth can I have this procedure (hospital said one month?)
We have been told that FET does not count as one of the three attempts that we are allowed, is this true?

Thanks :hugs:

Sammy I remember you from your IVF go, I am so sorry for your loss.

I havnt had FET, not lucky enough to get frozen embies. I cant give you any advise but speak to your clinic and see what they say. I think depending on your PCT, an FET will or will not count as a free go. My postcode does unfortunately.

I hope there is some other ladies out there that can help with ur questions.

hi...so sorry for your loss....

i didnt wana read and run as i have a good friend that found out at her 20 week scan that her baby girl also had this awful condition....she had to give birth...was such a sad time but i wanted to give you hope....4 years on she now has a healthy 2 year old boy and gorgeous little 11 week old girl...

sending you lots of hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Don't have an answer for you hun. But totally remember your wonderful ivf ET story and I am so sorry - this is devastating.
:hugs:

Sammy I also remember you going through your IVF cos I had just finished my first go - and I was devasted at seeing your post.

I am so sorry hun.

I know that my PCT funds three fresh cycles and three frozen - so i am sure it doesnt count towards your three.
But my PCT does make you use all your frozen embies first before they let you move onto your next fresh go - so you might not have a choice on whether to do FET or to go straight to fresh.

Good luck hunni,

Hi hun

Would ring clinc as I think it is different everywhere. We only get 2 goes and FET counts as one of those but we could have a fresh cycle before a FET.

Wishing you lots of luck and sending lots of love.
