there is alot of people reading and running that's why there isent much signatures.some people dont understand how important this is they only realise when they are going through infertility themselves.

I think this is partly due to what lady blush said but also not everyone qualifies to sign i suppose, not everyone is in UK, sometimes its upsetting to hear but people "cant be assed" even IF it affects them. I would rather be someone who tries to make a change and fails than sits back and complains though. At least us girls are trying to make a change. I know this petition has been run and sent to the governemnt before but we have to keep raising the profile and keep pestering until the government INSISTS we are all treated fairly!

I thought I would share the opinion of one lovely lady from the petition thread on 1st tri!!! Have a read, i am sure you may be as appauled at the ignoramce as I am!!

I'm sorry its just not something I agree with. I've had miscarriage after miscarriage and I'm one of those people who had a hard time getting pregnant and staying that way... so I'm not trying to be insensitive but I don't think its fair to use tax payers money for IVF if you really want a child theirs millions that need to be adopted I think its selfish to ask for others to pay for you to have a child when you could be doing something like adopting. I'm not saying I don't agree with IVF because I do. I just don't agree with your government paying for it for you. If something happens with this pregnancy I plan to adopt. I think it would be gods way of telling me that is my purpose.

How do you feel about over eaters using tax payers money to have surgey? How do you feel about smokers using tax payers money when they have heart and lung probems and all the related? How do you feel about all the 16 year olds haveing kids and living off the state? Oh and all the thousands of people who live on benefits for sickness and unemployment. I have never claimed ONEbenefit in my ADULT life. I had a well paid job and so did my husband, we have paid A LOT in NI and taxes and deserve our share back!

Thing is love, I could have a child, I AM NOT infertile, just beause I fell in love with a man who has problems, should I be denied my own genetic child?

You dont mean to be insensitive but unfortunately you are and your view is very narrow minded and without contemplating all the facts however you are entitled to an opinion.

I can either assume that she doesn't like in the UK or hasn't always had a full time job and paid thousands in NI and tax over the years.

And does she think adoption doesn't cost any taxpayers money?!! There is counselling, assessments, paperwork to be processed, courses to go on, meetings, they research every part of your life, interview family. All that is done for free is it?

Yep how i see it red is it is easy for someone who is pregnant now wether she has risk or no risk in the pregnany to say what she said. Someone else has stuck up for us on the thread but most will sensibly not want to get involved! I just hope there are not many more out there who have selfish, narrow minded, thoughtless opinions like hers! xxx

i pay 40% tax and to be honest i have used the NHS hospital for anything . i use privtae. So im saving them loadsa money whi should they not pay for me

is this woman form the states? i dont think they know how the nhs works
