IVF process

Just wondering how many times you need to go to the hospital when going through IVF? As we have no private clinics close to us so are no doubt going to have to do a lot of travelling

I will be having a baseline US on CD 3. I will also have more monitoring US on CD 9, 10, 11, and maybe 12. Then the egg collection around CD 12 or 13. The embryo transfer would be either 3 days or 5 days after that.

I guess it will depend on your treatment protocol. I only needed to have 3 scans before having egg collection, and then 3 days later I had embryo transfer.

Well as our fertility is male factor so I wouldn't have thought I would need that many scans?

They will still give you meds (FSH) to create lots of eggs if you are doing IVF, even if it's male factor. So, they want to monitor the little eggies that they are making grow. Our situation is also male factor.
