Hi dear,

here in Liverpool, the fertility specialist said it's 6 weeks, doesn't sound too bad. All in all, I read in the forums that it should take between 4-5 months in this area before you start with the proper IVF cycle, I will get a referral in 28 days. This can't come soon enough after over 2 years trying and loads of unsuccessful clomid cycles.

Are you also a lil scared of the whole procedure? How will I cope in my workplace is gonna be difficult as I just started a new job, but hey ho, I have already collected 2 days of holidays so far...

I never wanted my baby to be made in a petri dish, I wanted it to be made with love but I suppose that is the way it will happen.

Hope you don't have to wait too long for referral. Keep my fingers crossed.:flower:

Hi

Thank you for your reply. I first have to loose a bit of weight and have a few tests repeated as been under the fertility dept for over a year now. I go back in Oct and if they are happy they will refer me, so sounds like I'll be looking at the beginning of next year. They have said it could still happen naturally in the mean time and I hope so.

Good luck with your journey x

We have finally been referred for ivf.
I have an appointment next week for internal scan whilst on my cycle and bloods. My hubby will have another semen analysis and bloods too. We have beeb told it will be another 12 weeks from my bloods and scan for the appointment with consultant. Feels like a constant waiting game

Hi
I'm in Hampshire too, after completing forms for ivf at local hospital I had to wait 6-8 weeks for first ivf appointment at fertility clinic, after that appointment I could have started the ivf on next af but because I'm doing a clinical trial to see the effects of vitamins on embryo quality I have to wait for my next af at start of September, hope this helps :)
Do you know what clinic you will be going to?
