:flower: Hi ladies

Me and oh have recently been refered for IVF and are just waiting for our appointment to come through. We are hopefully going to be starting treatment within the next few months.

Even though we were given an 'information pack' at the fs, I really dont know what to expect and to be honest am completley terrified

I just thought it would be a good idea to start a thread (apologies if one already exists!) for those of us that are in similar positions where we can share our concerns and worries etc.

It would be really nice for those of you that have already or are currently undergoing IVF treatment to share your experiences also.

Thanks ladies x

Hey Princess congrats on the referral

A lot of the threads on here relate to ladies undergoing treatment as well as when treatment has been unsuccessful. If you've got any questions or worries in sure someone will be along to help.

Good luck... Keeping my fingers crossed for first time success!!xx

I'm in the same boat! We will be starting IVF very soon, after 6 failed IUI's.
Im worried and way out of my comfort zone.

FX that we can get our BFP's the first time!!! Good luck with everything!

hi i am about to start injections in the next few days if theres anything i can help you with just ask or pm me x

Hi Everyone! Hi Princess!

This is a great site if you want support/advice. There are many threads regarding IVF and assisted conception and you will probably see lots of us floating around on various boards.

I had my first IVF with ICSI in Aug/Sept last year. Everything went well but sadly it was not our time. Me and DP are currently gearing up for round two in March (such long wait in between due to pesky ovarian cyst, Grrrr!)

If you have any questions about stimms, EC, ET or 2ww please let me or any of the other lovely ladies know, everyone on here is always happy to help,

Lolly xxxxxxxx :flower:

My suggestion is to read through many of the ivf threads already going and just ask questions in those threads. Everyone is more than willing to help out.

There is also a really good book called The Couples Guide to IVF. It has in it a calendar that explains the process/phases of the treatment.

Thanks ladies!

Blue congratulations! Do you know where I could order the book from, I've typed it on google but it just brought up reviews which seem good but I didnt see any stores/website that listed where to buy it? x

my hubby and i have just been refererd to a ivf clinic in december and are currently having all our blood tests done to be faxed over to the clinic so they can give us our first appointment. iv had my first round of blood tests done and was supposed to have a second lot of bood tests done on day 1-3 of my period. only trouble is i havent come on my period!!! im 11/12 days late and very confused! iv taken 2 tests the first had a very faint line and the second had nothing!! i have very painfull breasts stomach cramps and my lower back is killing!!! any advise?????

I'm going to meet with my doctor next week to discuss IVF. I just got my period today so I am going to assume that I won't be able to do anything or go on any medication until my period starts again in February. Am I correct?

The typical start point for ivf is cd21 (long protocol) but some people start on cd1 (short protocol).

Mibebe, if you do the long protocol some clinics put you on BCP to get the ball rolling so you could be starting pretty soon! It all goes very quickly once you get going!x

Thank you ladies!

I have an appointment on the 19th to talk to my doctor and I'm trying to find out what to expect. I'm very impatient, but I've had no choice these past few months.

Rachelle, I'm not sure if the doctor is going to prescribe bc pills. It will be funny for me since I haven't used BC since 2004. I am sad that AF came today, but happy that I can now move forward with IVF. :happydance:

Hi Ladies, I will be starting my first IVF cycle next Friday. No IUIs since I had my tube removed in 2009. I have 5 more days of BCP, ultrasound on Wednesday, 1/19, then start stims on Friday, 1/21 with ET on 2/1 then transfer either 2/4 or 2/6 (schedule is subject to change.) I had my last natural cycle on 12/31.

Would like to buddy with anyone who will be going through this process. :hugs:

Hi Princess!!

Wishing you, and all the other ladies starting soon, loads and loads of luck. There are a lot of other threads, but I'm sure all the ladies who've gone through it before would gladly offer some useful advice.

Best of luck to us all!

:dust:
