Anyone know where i can buy empty jam jars? I am hoping to make some lemon curd to give as presents but i don't have any jars at home that are nearly empty so i am thinking i'd best buy some but i have no idea where to get them from.

Best bet is Kilner Jars off Ebay, or you could just ask family and friends to save some for you :)

Have you tried Lakeland or hobbycraft ?

Ebay link looks good but i need the jars in the next day or two - should of started looking earlier lol

Thought about Lakeland earlier and i was right near it too - should of looked. Will have a look when i go near there again.

Thanks

I know not everyones cup of tea but lots of people request and get these free on freecycle x

Lots of options now - thanks everyone.

Ah sorry that the ebay link is not urgent enough!
I was in ikea a few hours ago and did look for you lol I didn't see any with airtight lids :( Hope Lakeland is good for you!

Thanks. I really shouldn't of left it so close to Christmas but i didn't really decide until yesterday that i was actually going to go ahead and make the lemon curd :(

Where do you live? I've been saving all mine to make chutneys and forgot I was supposed to do it like three months ago

Alternatively, buy some short glasses, have a square of waxed paper and cloth or whatever you're supposed to use, and a rubber band

Grocery stores here do them! Cases of 12 in various sizes generally.

Me again! I've just seen some cheapo version of kilner jars in Argos!!!

Plus the above comment rememinded me that hobbycraft do jars and the paper/fabric squares and bands!!!

I have a load of little glass things from desserts from Waitrose - might be able to use those
