@littlewitch and @Teanna do you ladies have issues that mean you need to be seen more often?
@Laurabub84 I haven't opened it yet!! I don't know how I've held off, I will probly get it out tomorrow have a play and put it back. My main reason for not having it fully out is that my cat has fleas. I'm so fed up with it and I'm trying desperately to get rid of them.. And obviously I don't want to risk any getting onto baby stuff so I will be repacking the pushchair after looking at it I think. Im hoping it's got big plastic bags inside I can keep the parts in for now.
The silly cat in question has actually decided to take up residence on top of one of the boxes :haha: it's his new hang out spot lol

In the United States, every pregnant patient is seen at a traditional OB/GYN office every 4 weeks. 9 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, 20 weeks, 24,28,32,36, then once weekly.
You are seen once every 2 weeks if you are a patient of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, which they wanted me to do initially due to my age alone. (over 35) I declined seeing a specialist unless the fetal DNA testing came back abnormal, or I was gestational diabetic, etc.
So far, I have been seen every 4 weeks by my regular OB and once my maternal Fetal Medicine for a very detailed anatomy scan.

lol, cats do love a box. So cute. It should hopefully come wrapped in plastic bags. That’s what we’ve used to cover ours for now while it’s set up down his parents house. Will take them off a couple of weeks before due date to make sure it’s all aired out as it’s got such a strong smell being new. His bedside crib is sitting here in the box and I’m tempted to get it out as I’d like that to air out a little too and as it can fold down it does come with a carry case that I could pack it into but I think I’d be better off waiting so the kids don’t start playing around with it. I can’t wait to start buying his clothes. Think those will be the last thing I’ll get so it’s closer to winter clothing in the shops.

28 weeks today and officially third trimester :o I have a growth scan tomorrow. I'm excited to see how big baby boy has gotten :cloud9:

Happy 28 weeks and yay for reaching the 3rd trimester. Another few days and I’ll be joining you, eeeeek!! Getting so excited now. It’s crazy to be this far already. It really has gone fast when I really think about it. I think it’s going to start dragging now tho. I’ve finally reached the stage where I’m really struggling to sleep at night. Ridiculously I’m more comfy on my back but know that’s not safe for baby. I panic keep waking up laying on my back and have to keep turning into my side but then I’m really uncomfortable so struggle getting back to sleep. Struggling with breathlessness too the last few days which is not fun as it makes me feel panicky. Enjoy your scan tomorrow. After booking my 4d scan it felt like such a long wait but only 2 weeks now. I’m beyond excited to see his little face. I can’t not picture my son when I think about what he will look like.

Have any of you ladies ever had spd while pregnant? It’s not something I’ve ever had but I’m not sure if I’m getting it this time. I feel like someone’s kicked me between the legs. Feeling really sore and tender and bruised and it’s spreading down my thighs. The school runs are becoming a nightmare and I have to walk so slow. Not ideal when the girls take their bikes and I have to keep up. Pushing the stroller up the hills is getting hard too. Getting a little worried as I still have so many weeks left. I’m getting so nervous about my next midwife appointment when they start measuring. I feel full term already. It’s scary to think he’s going to get much heavier than he is now and I can’t imagine getting any bigger than I am now. Not sure if it’s down to being older now but I’ve never struggled this much in my other pregnancy’s. I feel like I’m needing to hold my bump up while walking  Am really enjoying his movements now tho. I could sit and watch my bump all day

@Laurabub84 thank you! It's crazy how fast its going. I potentially only have 70 days left and I don't feel prepared at all. I think it'll go really fast because it's the lead up to Christmas and that always seems to go fast. I find my back comfier at times too although find I get a little lightheaded now if I lie on my back so its helping me stay on my sides. My hips do ache at night though. Yay for 4d scan in 2 weeks! Mine is on Saturday. I can't wait for the kids to be able to see him :cloud9:

I think I had spd with my last pregnancy but I was never diagnosed. He was 10lb 7oz though so it's not really surprising. I think physio can help with spd if you can get referred.

@josephine3 yay for the pram! Fx kitties fleas are gone soon so you can open it.

@Laurabub84 I have SPD already, got it at 34 weeks last pregnancy but started at 18 weeks this time. It's been minor so far but I've had luck with stretching my pelvis with my exercise ball this time and I'm just slightly sore but still fully mobile. It feels sore right in the middle of the front pelvic bone, starts out feeling sore like your bruised and gets to be a sharper pain as it progresses.

@josephine3 no complications here. In Ontario I'm seen by my midwife every 6 weeks until 28 weeks then it goes to every 2 weeks until 36 when I go every week. I don't see an OB but I will have one appointment with one soon to officially clear me for a vbac since I had an emergency C-section with my first.

@salamander91 it's great your scan went well, and congrats on being in the 3rd trimester. Final stretch now!

I had my midwife appointment yesterday, it went well. We finally reviewed my anatomy scan and everything is healthy and the kidneys were normal. My daughter has an ectopic kidney so I'm glad this baby didn't get them as well.

Interestingly they forgot to tell me my due date was officially moved to Feb 8th after my 12 week scan. So I guess I'm 23 weeks today. So far feeling pretty good despite some minor SPD that is starting to get a bit worse. I'm just happy my back and ribs haven't been bothering me yet.

I'm glad the scan went well and everything was OK with baby's kidneys

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow and he cooperates. I’m dreading mine will be hiding when we go. Feels like I’ve been waiting ages for it

Glad your appointment went well and all is healthy with your little girl

@Teanna glad you're scan went well

@Laurabub84 thank you! I've read breech isn't the best position for the 4d scan so keeping my fingers crossed he shows his face lol

Oh wow those are amazing pictures @salamander91!!! He's just adorable!!
@Teanna I've never heard of an ectopic kidney what's that? Do they not tell you if everything is OK while you are at the scan then? Here they tell us as they see it we don't review it after. It's the only time this happenes though, in pregnancy. Usually any diagnostics have to be sent to a doc for review. Also my dye date was so moved by one day since my scan due to a problem with their machines? Random but I've kept my own date on my ticker based on ov. It's just a few days later than theirs.

I've got my 20 week scan on Monday! But rather than being excited to find out the gender etc I'm just terrified. I've got a constant feeling of doom about this pregnancy and I don't know why. Never felt this with the others I'm scared it's instinct. I also had a call from the screening midwife saying that I have something called 'low papp-a' and that it means I will need growth scans from 28 weeks. It's a placenta issue apparently, Google says that it can cause stillbirth, premature babies, small babies, growth restriction and specifically 2nd trimester loss which is what I'm already scared of!! So I'm mildly freaking out over here. Of course all those things are worse case scenario and don't always happen but still...
Anyone any experience with low papp-a? I'm scared!!

@josephine3 thank you :cloud9: I don't have any experience but it sounds like they're keeping a close eye on you so I'm sure everything will be ok. Good luck for Monday!

@josephine3 my ultrasounds are done at a hospital with an ultrasound tech who isn't allowed to share any info besides gender if requested. Although I know that if something is bad they won't let you leave until they call your Dr/ midwife to discuss asap. I've had that happen before last pregnancy.

My oldest has an ectopic horseshoe kidney which basically means both her kidneys are on one side of her body and fused together. Initially it was found in a growth scan at 35 weeks where the tech couldn't find the right kidney. I had to go to a high risk doctor at 36 weeks who found the second kidney and diagnosed it properly. Thankfully it's not been a health issue and just gets monitored once a year. It's rare though and likely genetic.

I think I did have that marker last pregnancy as well which is why I was sent for a growth scan at 35 weeks. It wasn't an issue though, my daughter was born at 6ibs 13oz so small but not growth restricted and was overdue 4 days.

@josephine3 they did at 37 weeks but only because I had low fluid levels. I opted to do weekly ultrasounds to avoid it and agreed to be induced at 41 weeks if she didn't come before then.
