January JellyBean mummies

congrats laura

lost - i hope jennifer doesnt have thrush bless her... i dont know how you cope with such little sleep, hope it gets better x

sorry to hear you ladies are feeling poorly. The worst I can really say is that all day yesterday I was exhausted from the previous evening's nesting. She was up at 11,12,1,2,245, and 630 this morning. That was a bit annoying... but they were quick feed and changes. She's such a well-behaved baby!

Found out yesterday that she has a bit of a tongue-tie as well. Made me feel a bit worried, as the nurse said it can do anything from not letting her lick ice cream to not be able to french kiss when she's older to giving her a speech impediment. Plus, I'm a singer and the use of the tongue is such an important thing for me. But when OH came home, I told him and he said he was born with one too, and with practice and exercise, his eventually got stretched out. He said he used to have a speech impediment, but now he sounds normal and kisses wonderfully :cloud9:

Ok, my body's finally going back to normal. I'm in my pre-pregnancy clothes already! I'm not exactly where I want to be, but here's my 1 week after-baby bump.

Congrats Laura :happydance: Welcome to the world Quinn :hi:

Regina, WTH, I don't believe those are current pics!!!!!! There are no signs of there ever being a baby in there. You look great!

Lostunicorn, I look at Mackenzie all the time and can't belive she's mine :cloud9:

So much to update about but struggling to find thetime. Congrats Laura and welcome baby Quinn! Will post later on if I manage to get some sleep. Hope everyone is keeping well xxoo

Congratulations Laura!!! :happydance:

Regina you make me sick, that is so not fair I want my body back!!! :hissy: To be fair I've lost 2 stone (28lb) but i've a stone left to lose and have a lovely saggy tummy with some nice stretchies at the mo, not impressed :(

We are getting better and better with Holly. She still has certain times through the night when she refuses to sleep, but we're learning to cope with it better, so yey for that. My mum goes home tomorrow though  She's been an absolute star and has had Holly overnight for us a couple of times to help us catch up with some sleep, which has been amazing. OH's parents arrive today, which is great, but I don't think they'll do quite as much as my mum so I will miss her terribly. Fortunately we return to the UK in 4 weeks for a visit so I'll see her again soon

Sarah glad you got your bed, but boo for sofa being better!!!

Jolene how are you doing after your section? Recovering well?

Lost I hope Jennifer is ok :hugs:

Congtrats Laura, love the name!
Regina... No way! cant believe how good you look and loving your boobs ( in a non gay way) lol

lol thanks- and that's after being pumped! You should see them when they're full. My OH wants to shoot some pin-up, since he says the curves are just right.

As for you other ladies, many of you had c-sections, so don't feel bad!!!! you had a lot to recover from! You all have to remember, I was a dancer, so my body is naturally in really good shape, Madison's birth was super stupid easy, I had practically nothing to recover from, never had stretch marks, and I'm breastfeeding which made my uterus shrink faster. Odds were just stacked in my favor- it was all luck! plus, I'm not even close to where I was pre-pregnancy. My stomach used to be so tight with defined muscles- now it just feels flabby and loose to me.

|DD you should be very proud. Im gonna try and do mine soon, but I think its got bigger since last week as i think im ovulating!! Im gonna get some OPKs so I know whats going on...

ah I see.

Question for all of you ladies, what form of birth control are you planning to use now that your LO is here? It's weird to think about! OH and I have never used birth control. Also, since I'm breastfeeding it has to be a non-hormonal method. I'm thinking of just getting the copper IUC so I don't have to worry about taking pills or anything- plus OH won't have to use condoms, which is a good thing as neither of us like how they feel.

I was talking to the HV about this today and I think i'll use the cap which is an old fashioned form of BC a bit like the female condom, we dont like condoms either and i dont get on with the IUC and the pill just makes me hormonal! We never used anything for 8 years, we used the withdrawal method.

OPK's sarah? Working on #3, lol

haha number 4!!!! I need to be sleeping in the same bed for starters.... I really do want another one though, im hoping its just my hormones and I will see sense in a few weeks... Nah I want to see if im ovulating, mind you it'll prob be too late and ill get AF in a couple of days

Disney I am soooo jealous!

My belly is soo saggy and minging!

Have just under a stone left to lose for pre preg weight but want to lose another 21 pound on top of that :(

Hope everyone is ok xx

I hear all you ladies talk about stones... hasn't caught on here in the US. what the heck does it mean and where did the term come from????

that's weird. ok. now I know what you're referring to at least. 14 is such an arbitrary number, it seems. then again, if you break down pounds into ounces, it's 16. lol

so now we know you were a dancer what does the disney bit mean in your name?

hahaha. I've had that nickname since I was about 12. Every weekend at Disneyland, there is a live big band that plays and lots of people go there to swing dance and listen to the music. I've been doing it since I was 12... so I was a disney dancer... just not professionally. I miss going there and dancing, though... I haven't been since I moved back from Florida, because my Ex and I met there, so it's a bit bittersweet.
