don't mean to read and run... but I'll be back tomorrow when OH isn't asleep- the typing bothers him. it'll probably be nice and long, since there has been a rollercoaster of emotions lately. stay well, ladies and babies!

well done and congrats to all the new mummies :) xx

I am a sucker and have saved both umbilical cords

Congrats again SmiffY!

I got up at 11am today :haha:

still not talking to OH he is being a prick, he has taken Joe out today and ive been to a cafe for lunch. my dd is working there so that was nice. its a beautiful day, i was talking to Joe earlier and he was smiling at me, it makes my heart melt every time.
He has outgrown the newborn clothes, i have so much and some of it is new as i thought he had loads of time to grow into them.
I brought a baby carrier today from Mothercare it was £39.99 but when i ordered it online it was reduced to £29.99 and FREE P&P! bargain. I got it as our buggy is quite bulky and sometimes I dont want take it ( it wont fit in the cafe lol)
woah for 11am wake up Jade

Smiffy - how did the bath go? We have given kieran 2 baths so so far and he does not like them at all.

Jade - you must be the baby wisperer and you have 2!!! How often does Alex feed and for how long?

Sar - yay for the bargain! Sorry you and oh are still not talking. :hugs:

We had quite the night. Kieran would not sleep and was fussy off and on from about 5pm straight through till about 1am. Tried absolutely everything to calm him down and get him asleep but he had other plans. He would finally shut his eyes and start to sleep then he would wake up with a jolt and scream again. It was not good. DH and I were getting short with each other and all 3 of us were so exhausted. Managed to sleep about 3 hours with kieran after all that now he is fed and fast asleep in daddy's arms. Any suggestions on how to calm a baby that just wont calm down?

Tomorrow we are going out and I am nervous about it. Been home from hospital for a week now and kieran and I have not left yet. It is so hard because it is freezing here so we have to bundle him up so much and it jut makes everything so much more awkward. We are going to babies r us to register for the baby shower and going to get his passport piccies taken. We are headed to the uk last week of feb for almost a month to visit the inlaws. I'm so scared to leave home for that long.

Question for those who are BF how to you manage to BF when out and about? Do you go somewhere private? I am scared because right now I still use a BF pillow and can't imagine BF without it.

Hope everything is ok :hugs:

Hi girls cant post properly but just wanted to say to lovealittle1 that I also had bad toilet troubles after my csection and it was horrid! I bought stool softeners which helped slightly but ended up resorting to laxatives. Only had to take one lot (2 tabs) and they took 12 hours to kick in but was much easier. Ended up taking another lot a day after but that was a step too far and wasnt pleasant! Just take them as you need them but I would recommend it if you are having trouble hun.

Thanks for advice. Going to call the pharmacy today and send DH to get me something.

No not slept through the night, he feeds every 2 or 3 hours in the night and I currently have him next to me in bed or else I wouldnt get that :dohh: mum had Caine last night thats why I had a lie in.
Alexander slept 12-5, feed, 5-7 feed, 8-11 so he will normally do 2 or 3 hours and one 4 or 5 hour stretch but not settle until very late. xx He feeds about 15 mins but I think I have fast let down and he keeps choking on my milk bless him, he has fattened up so know he is feeding well and is filling his nappy every feed

Lovealittleone - assume he is winded etc?> Have you swaddled him and turned all the lights off?

Jade-If I swaddle him straight after BFing he usually calms and goes to sleep but last night there was no calming him at all. It breaks my heart to see him cry like that and no be able to do anything. 15 minute feeds that is great! Kieran feeds for about 25-35 mins each time.

Fraggles, he is lovely!

I can't get over how much in love I am, even though Mackenzie fed every hour today and would poo as soon as I put a clean nappy on, lol. She is just so gorgeous and I still can't believe she's my baby girl :cloud9:

It just breaks my heart when he cries and I don't know what he wants. I know as time goes on I will be able to tell better.

Hey girls! Lovealittle1 it seems to be quite a common thing, I know justthestart has a similar thing and I have had same prob with Holly, it gets to 5pm and she just does not go down til at least midnight most nights and last night she was screaming for seemingly no reason. Its not pleasant! Hopefully she'll grow out of it soon! :haha:

Gorgeous piccie fraggles!
