January JellyBean mummies

Hugs Fraggles and Cat :hugs: xx

Hope Fearne is better soon Jo x

Jojo- happy Fearne is feeling a bit better.

My blocked ducts are almost gone again. It was so bad this time. Half my boobie was red. I was so worried it was going to result in mastitis. I hope it doesnt come back. I'm taking lecithin now which is meant to make my milk less sticky.

Oh and I finally managed to start a parenting journal!!!! Not too much in there yet but would love some stalkers!!!

Do you think you could have mastisis which is reoccurring? Maybe a course of antibiotics could knock it on the head. Hot and red sounds very much like it. Have you had a temp?

J went 8 hours again last night and my eldest is drinking me out of boobie juice I need to either up pumping or introduce the formula more

mastitis sucks... blah! I had it twice already  glad your ducts are clearing up! I heard the lecithin works wonders!

I have not had a temp but I did talk to a nurse/lactation Consultant and she told me just to keep an eye on it and if I get A temp or flu like symptoms to see a doc asAp. It is less red today and no longer one big lump. There are still some small lumpy parts though

if you feel fine and things seem to be getting better, I wouldn't worry at all about it..... it's not hard to tell if you have mastitis, you will feel INCREDIBLY sick.

ok ladies a bit tmi bt for those who have had an AF was it really bad. Im shocked how bad this is.

Not had one yet, but can remember the first with Caine was heavy and it really hurt :hugs:

AF was very heavy and painful, lasted for 7 days and had huge clots in it. The 1st one is normally the worse. I asked gp about it and was told it was because I only had 1 AF before getting pregnant and the 2 births being so close together. apparently it takes 12-15 months for you body to completely recover after pregnancy and birth.

:hugs: hope it's not too painful

aw man, not happy to hear about terrible AF :nope: mine have always been awful, and the witch is yet to show up, so I guess I can count on it being HORRIBLE

good thing I have leftover pain meds from my c-section :haha:

Ive always had very light pretty painless AF but im filling pads in 30 minutes. I only had 1 AF between babies too. So much for BF keeping them away. Not too painful thankfully. A couple of paracetamol knocked it.

Lol I agree with you Fraggles. So much for BF keeping them away I thought BF stopped ovulation. Clearly not the case for either of us. Exclusive BF has made AF come back quicker than it did with Phoebe :(

I think I just have eggs that suck those spermies in :haha: Thats one thing I like about pregnany the lack of periods.

Yay I'm not alone.. My AF came back the 2nd week in March so approximately 6 wks after I gave birth. I wasn't happy about that, but I am happy that so far I didn't have painful cramps.. Before I couldn't handle the pain I would have pills with me in my purse ALWAYS for just in case.. But the 2 times that AF came since I gave birth I didn't feel sick.

JJ's how long each day do you LO's nap and where do they nap?

Currently Kieran has little naps here and there. He usually falls asleep after eating on m lap for about 1/2 an hour or I wear him in his sling and he will usually sleep at least an hour in there. We have no routine really.

I'm considering starting to try to nap him in his crib. I'm just so torn about it though. His nursery is on the 2nd storey so he would be upstairs all alone and far from me  but is that me just being selfish??? I am thinking he deserves a quiet dark place to sleep now. I mean this is all assuming he will sleep in his crib  we cosleep at night btw. Any thoughts suggestions????? Like every mummy I just want to do what is best for himand at the moment I think he needs more sleep.

Sarai mostly cat naps too (go figure  ) but she does give me a good 2 hour nap on most days in her swing! That thing is a God send! mostly she takes quick 15 minute naps on me, while I'm wearing her in my wrap, or SOMETIMES I can put her down in her bassinett or our bed.

Usually for every 1 1/2 to 2 hours of awake time, I try to get her to take a nap... even if its just 15 minutes :dohh:

Everyone will have their own opinion on this. With both my kids they have slept wherever carseat, pram, sofa, swing and my me that works well. I won't ever use cot for nap times as they get used to it then if you go out they won't sleep get really cranky and that's no fun for anyone! My friends 2 girls do this and spend most of their visits with us crying!

My friend thinks cot for naps is best, I don't. You have to find your way hun, do what works for your family xx

ooooh nap wise im easy if im upstairs doign housework he goes down in the cot no problem. He will laugh and coo to his mobile. If im downstairs usually he falls asleep on me on the sofa or in his swing. His most often napping spot his in the pram a we aRE usually out
