January JellyBean mummies

Hey ladies! Holly is currently snoozing on a blanket next to me so thought I'd grab a few seconds to jump on and say hello! Hope everyone is good, I am doing well, still got baby blues but a lot better, and my mum is helping out a lot.

I am in so much pain. I could barely walk to the loo this morning :( I was doing so well after the op. The day I left the hospital it felt like I could run a marathon, lol. It should be getting better not worse!!?? How did you ladies cope after your c-secs?

Jolene I am nearly 3 weeks past and still pretty sore. I try and go for a walk every day and gradually go further and further, but to be honest its still a pathetic distance and I'm shattered when I get back! I agree with Sarah to make sure you keep up to your painkillers, as when they wear off it can be pretty sore!

I like jades idea of before and after pics I think we should all do it..

Not sure about that! I dont mind the before but am not so chuffed about showing the after pic, my belly is jelly at the mo and not keen on the stretchies that appeared in last 2 weeks of pregnancy either! :nope:

Arrgghh thought both babies were asleep but now Alexander is fussing and wont settle :dohh:

are we talking before as in pre-pregnancy or before as in right after delivery and after will be when we've been tightened back up a bit?

I think I figured out how to do this... sorry it's going to be super long and huge!

Her Daddy is a phenomenal photographer and snapped these in about 10 minutes the day she was born. (lol so funny I don't call him OH anymore... he's now Daddy) Enjoy!!!! I get to every day.

lol I'm just going to reply to my own post and start posting my after-baby bump so that I can monitor my progress... I'd love to see your progressions too!

these are from today- 3 days after birth.

excuse the huge boobs. at least they make my tummy looking small by comparison!

looking good :happydance:
will do mine soon, but i think its swollen, not sure if its healing ok as its still really hurting like ive done situps! I know I keep saying it but I dont know if its normal, i have my 6week check next week so Ill ask there.

Gonna have a moan about OH!
I have been on the sofa all week since he went back to work as not to disturb him and everything is close to hand in the kitchen, it suits me but its not very comfy.
I slept in DS room last night as he was at his dads and OH has a cold so he wont come any where near Joe which is fair enough but he can still help me with bottles and washing and stuff, cos he was gonna do the night feeds at the weekend but now he has a cold he didnt do them. So right now I just feel like a single parent doing it all myself... he might aswell not be here, I understand he has a cold but what if i get a cold, do i just disown Joe? No of course not!
Am i being unreasonable! He will stay in bed all weekend now!
Dont get me wrong he is normally very good but he has changed since he went back to work :growlmad:
I bet he's well enough to go fishing tomorrow!

Hi Ladies

Just checking in to say hello- haven't been on here as much recently but Maddie and I are doing good.

Hope you all are too x

Hi justthestart :)

Looking good disney!

I will take some piccies in a bit!

Jolene everyone in UK gets the Guthrie (heal prick) test for cystic fibrosis and sickle cell anaemia testing xx

I wonder why it isn't a requirement here?

Thanks so much. she latched on last night at midnight... a hopeful sign, I think! I've gotten a pump though- best thing ever! If you ladies are in the market for one, we have the Phillips Avent Twin Electronic Breast Pump. It's amazing! I can set the pattern and pressure manually by squeezing a trigger, and when I like the rhythm, I push a blue button, and the machine remembers that pattern and pressure and keeps pumping that way exactly. My boobs are out of control, though! at last pump, I got 8 oz out of each boob! that's a huge amount of milk, I think!!! Right? and there's no way Madison can come even close to consuming that much!

Regina, are you giving her the milk with a bottle or are you freezing it for a later stage? Does that pump make a noise? You're looking great btw.

Gonna have a moan about OH!

Sorry to hear Sarah :( Men are really big babies when they're sick.

Does anyone know how long it's supposed to take for baby to pick up the weight they lost in hospital?

Beautiful piccies of Madison :cloud9:

Sorry to hear your oh is being that way Sarah. I hope he gets better soon so he can be helpful again.

As for baby's weight I was told that they should be back to their birth weight by their 2 week check up.

Had a pretty good night. Kieran did 2 3 hour stretches is that good? Yesterday he lost his belly button stump :happydance: last night we had friends round with their 1 month old and kieran pooped 3 times in a 2 hour stretch!!! His poos are the final stage now which is yellow. I am still having bathroom problems. Goin to call the pharmacy later
To see what I can take it is horrible. Have a nice Saturday! I actually know what day it is!!!

he has just taken Joe out in the buggy so at least he doesnt actually have to be close to him then to his sil, im gonna have a nap, I think Joes stump took a few weeks to come out, it was def when he was at home! what do you mean final stage poos? Joe has a day of pooing constantly but most of the time he is constipated and it looks like clay. Have you tried lactulose?

Sar - because I am BF his poos went through about 4 different colours with yellow being the final colour so they will stay that cour now until solids are introduced. Because of c section and milk not coming straight away he was a few days behind so we are really happy that it is yellow now!

Glad oh has taken Joe for a stroll enjoy your nap hunny. It sucks it's so damn cold here we could never go for a walk it is -20's here so we are contained to the house unless we go to shops but don't have no desire to go out just yet.

What is lacitose? Will it help me with constipation? I felt like I was pushing a baby out last night and was almost in tears the whole time. Sorry for tmi

Yay I can join now!

Thanks ladies for all the messages on b'n'b!

erm its a bit like oil that you drink to soften poo, its quite cheap, it doesnt help you go to the toilet just softens it up so it makes it easier to go. you can buy it over the counter, doesnt taste brilliant but does the job

Yay I can join now!

Thanks ladies for all the messages on b'n'b!

At the moment he is sleepy all the time lol! Gonna wake him up soon and try a first ever bathtime!! Eeek! Then try a feed when awake and then put him down in our bedroom in his basket and I'm going to have an early night too. Managed to get 6 hours last night and one stretch was from 3-8ish this morning. I was on the sofa lol but slept well cos I was so knackered!

Everything seems so daunting so am a little scared of bathing him to be honest. But we're gonna do it together.

Thanks for all the messages people and glad to hera everyone is getting on well!

Hi girls cant post properly but just wanted to say to lovealittle1 that I also had bad toilet troubles after my csection and it was horrid! I bought stool softeners which helped slightly but ended up resorting to laxatives. Only had to take one lot (2 tabs) and they took 12 hours to kick in but was much easier. Ended up taking another lot a day after but that was a step too far and wasnt pleasant! Just take them as you need them but I would recommend it if you are having trouble hun.
