Well done Susie that is great news. :)

Hi, yes am just bringing Alex as otherwise Caine will be a nightmare and I wont get any time to talk  MIL is having him. xx You want my phone number? x

yes please

Morning all, well feeling a bit down about my weight today all I seem to find time to grab is bad stuff and I know it needs to stop. So much weight to lose :(

We are back to 3 hourly feeds through the night and 2 hourly through the day

Hi ladies really sorry to do this at the last minute but I'm now not able to make it. Got a bit of an emergency family situation and have one of OH's brothers living with us at the moment. I was really looking forward to meeting everyone. Take lots of pictures to share in either here or the new group on facebook.

In better news Hayley has her 6 week growth and development check at 10:30. I dread to think how much this little boobie monster weighs now and also her length. Luke is jumping in the roof later to get me the vac bag of 3-6 month clothes out as Hayley is crammed into 0-3 sleepsuits and she can't straighten her legs as they are too short. 0-3 vests and clothes are too big. Her trousers dont stay on her waist as she is a skinny minny

Sorry to hear that Rachael! :( But did you have a good weekend at the party? Hope the check goes ok!

I need to get ALex weighed this week as its been 4 weeks. But they only do it ever 4 week here.

Great nights sleep for me Caine 12 hours and ALex 6 then 4 hours :wohoo:

Sorry you can't make it Rachael I'm sure we will meet again at some point and look forward to meeting you and Hayley then. Hope the check goes ok, Fearne has health visitor coming today too for weighing so trying to make it a bit more tidy before she comes!

Yay for the good night jade, well done baby boys xx

Still trying to get some sort of a routine here in the UK. Kieran is back to waking every 3 hours at night like clock work! I am sooo tired  Just wondering if any other BFing mummies nurse their babies to sleep at night without winding them? I havent yet but it would be so easy. I have googled it and there is conflicting advise as usual!

Sorry I havent had time to read all the posts. I really miss my Iphone! Still 2 more weeks here and then I promise to be around much more!

Love ya's xxxxxx

wow can't believe you are meeting tomorrow, have a lovely time, hope the sun shines x

I dont burp Quinn at night as he sleeps in bed with us and I just fall asleep while hes eating. Co-sleeping and bfing in bed has saved me LOTS of sleep!!!! I have never had a problem with not burping him at night. He eats and falls asleep on the boob then wakes for his next feed anywhere from 3-5 hours later.

Well it is official my daughter is a chubster  another gain of 1lb in 2 weeks. She now weighs 11lb 7oz, length 58cm and h/c of 40cm. The dr is happy with her weight gain and growth and she is following the 75th centile line nicely.

Dr hasnt raised any concerns and has reassured me that Hayley's belly button is being pulled nicely into the skin as her stomach muscles grow stronger (her cord stump was left long and when the h/v did the 10 day check/first visit she raised it as a concern and that if it wasnt getting shorter by the 6 week check they could trim it back a bit). Her sickness is down to my over production of milk and fast flow, apparently it should disappear as her stomach grows bigger or by the time solids are introduced. If the sickness returns at every feed rather than the 2 we get currently get the dr will prescribe Gaviscon for the 2 feeds (same 2 feeds she is sick everyday)

The dr has confirmed that Hayley does indeed have a tongue-tie despite in her red book it says at 10 days she doesnt. The h/v noticed it Friday so I mentioned it today. Dr looked and said its only a slight tongue-tie and that in this area they dont do anything about unless it is affecting her feeding. If by the time she is talking it is affecting speech then they will look into either releasing it or speech therapy.

She has passed her developmental checks, apparently she is strong for her age and held her own head when the dr pulled her up by the arms, when sat up she held her head for over a minute and tried to roll over when she was led on her front for the dr to check her spine.

Hope everyone else is having a good day and enjoying the sunshine. When Luke's brother wakes up we are off to an indoor softplay centre and when Luke finishes work we are all going for a walk.

I BF and at night don't burp Adrian after feeding, especially if he has fallen asleep. I literally just transfer him to his bassinette beside me and he sleeps for like 5 hours. His doctor told me that BF babies don't need to be burped as much as FF babies do. Only half the time will I ever get a burp out of him, and he always seems pretty content. And even if he doesn't fall asleep while feeding, he will just fall asleep on his own in his bed.

Hi ladies!

I tend to latch Fi on and then go back to sleep now so she doesn't get winded at night and it doesn't seem to bother her.

I've been having a sort out - Fi is now in her cot and hardly any of her 0-3 month stuff fits. But coz she's long and skinny, 3-6 is too big! Anyone else having clothing problems?

At least I've managed to get some bits listed on eBay today to fund new clothes to grow into hopefully.

I always had problems with Tessa's clothes not fitting her legs. She is very tall. I would just cut the feet out of the clothes and put socks on her. And make sure the clothes you buy from now on have no built in feet. Im not buying anything with feet for Quinn now because im expecting the same problem. Its all OH's fault. Hes 6'6" and im only 5'4" so the kids get his height!!!!! LOL

My problem is my boy is too big. Not so much chubby but long! I have already packed away some of the 3 months sizes and am putting 6 months sizes on him and rolling the legs up a bit. He was born 9.5lbs, so he was bigger to begin with. Good thing I didn't buy any newborn sizes.

Glad it's not just me then! I've still got loads that I've been given atm but when I get new things I'll make sure I get footless stuff.

MommyB, just noticed I share my birthday with Adrian!

When J is super sleepy I rub his back but he doesn't always burp. He doesn't lie flat in his cot though so not sure if that helps

Jacob is still in newborn sizes  he has just outgrown his petite newborn and some of the cheaper brand babygros. I tried some 0-3 stuff on him and it's miles too big.

When I first started to bring Freya to bed with me I would just nurse her to sleep. I was so exhausted I would just latch her on and fall back to sleep. She would finish nursing and fall to sleep herself. I just recently started burping her at night. I found that she would be fine all night, but be very gassy in the morning and it caused her some discomfort. So now I burp her when she's close to being finished. Then she latches back on nurses just a little bit longer and falls to sleep. I end up with a happier baby in the morning and she sleeps longer that way. I don't always get a burp out of her. I look at the clock and time 1 minute. If she doesn't burp before that 1 minute is up, then she probably won't.

I'm having a great day today!!! Freya slept through the night again last night. We went to bed at midnight and she didn't wake again until 6am. Wahoo, 2 nights in a row. Then I stepped on the scale this morning and I only have 6 lbs left to loose before I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I still need to get the tone back and loose my little muffin top, but I'm feeling pretty good about it. I might have a training course to do with the Army this summer and I was worried it would be impossible to get back in shape for it. The physical demands are the hardest on me. Hope everyone has a great day too. I don't know how mine could get any better?! :happydance:

Thats great Rachael!

Catherine, I dont wind Alex through night feeds. :hugs:

Just packingstuff for tomorrow but had a busy day and my back is killing :(

Everyone ok?

Ive yet to sort everything for tomorrow, not much to do. Just need to sort all the clothes out and pack some nappies etc.
