Ooh so excited about tomorrow now but sad you can't come now Rachael. You have reminded me I wanted to take my camera though. My train should get in just before 11. Michael and I are hitting the hay soon as need to be up ready to walk to the train station at 8am. Think Michael will be wearing his pjs tomorrow ladies. Great news on the sleepy babies letting their mummies get some rest - I'm looking forward to the 6-8 week period with eager anticipation of a good block of sleep.

It's the best, lovealittle. I'm sure you'll get it right. I do it every night as i love my sleep too much to sit up, lol.

It can be uncomfortable at first because you do need to kinda roll you top half back a little so that your boob isn't flat on the bed. if its to uncomfortable put a pillow at your lower back to help support you. Also dont dress baby to warm and tuck the blankets under the arms so that they cant push/pull the blankets up over their head. I also roll a bit of the blanket up behind Quinns back so that it supports his back and he doesnt roll onto his back while still eating.

Might seem like a lot of prep but its sooooo worth it to get that extra bit of sleep. Good luck and let me know how it works out for you!

You could also practice a bed feeding during the day so that your not soo sleepy and can watch what your doing.

Btw are my boobs likely to stay this size til I stop bf does anyone know? Only bf 10 weeks last time and they weren't that much bigger! This time they 2 cups at least bigger and just realised they dont fit in my bikinis. I'm going on holiday in 8 weeks and didn't want to buy more if they are likely to shrink down a bit before then?? X

My back size dropped but my cup size didnt. When milk regulated they were softer but not smaller im afraid.

Jo - my cup size dropped as milk settled around 5/6 months - depends how long you want to BF? x

Catherine - I got a bad back from side feeding but find it easiest through the night. Still do it xx

I have setup a little lamp next to my bed with a blanket over it so the light is very dim. It's just enough light to help me see to latch Freya, but not too bright to wake us both right up. In the begining it took a little longer to get her latched, but now we are both pros. I use a light quilted blanket for her during the night and then leave my bedding down around my waist. I'm worried about her suffocating in my thick duvet. To keep my top half warm I just sleep with my housecoat on. It's so easy because the front opens right up for easy access. I'v never been one to wear a bra to bed, but now that I'm nursing I have to. Whenever I nurse Freya, the other boob goes crazy and soaks everything. So I'm still trying to get used to wearing a bra while I sleep. I too need to prop my back a little with a pillow. It's sometimes hard to hold your body at the right angle. Not too forward or to back. lol Good luck tonight hun!

Sarai had her 2 month appointment and shots today... I'm delaying her vaccinations so she was only vaccinated for 2 things. She didnt do that bad! I was proud of her She's grown almost 6 inches since birth and weighs nearly 10 lbs! (9 lbs 14 oz.. I should have gave her 2 oz of expressed milk to make the even 10 before doctors appointment ) not bad for a baby who came home from hospital weighing 5 lbs 3 oz!

I found this website that helps calculate your babies growth and lets you know if they are growing and gaining well for breastfeeding standards, thought I would share!

I didn't realize that Sarai was only 5lbs 3oz at birth. So was Quinn!!!!! It will be interesting to see how much Quinn weighs if she is that big already. I know last week he was at 8lbs 10oz and I was just thrilled about that. But I dont think he will be as close to 10lbs as Sarai is!!!!!! LOL Glad the shots went well for you....ours are Thursday.

Yea! She was born 5 lbs 8 oz.. but came home lighter. I bet Quinn is right on target! my LO is almost 2 weeks older than him right? So maybe in 2 more weeks he will measure around the same I'm just happy doctor said she was gaining extremely well, and if anything, is probably eating too much! Eating too much will help cause reflux problems, which might be our problem right now. Blah! I have to either limit her time at the breast and still feed every 2 hours.. or space out her feedings to every 3 hours or so. I dont really like either option but we'll see if it helps!

She is only a week and a few days older. Quinn will be exactly 2 months on thurs. He came home at 4lbs 13oz so he dropped a bit more than she did too. Im havinghim weighed tomorrow. I go to a playgroup tuesdays and always weigh him.

Thats nice!! I really should find a playgroup! We weigh Sarai on a normal scale I'll step on the scale and look at my weight then pick up baby and subtract the difference. It works! But a REAL scale would be nice....... so I dont have to look at my own weight!

Hey everyone!

Had a lovely meet up today! Sorry you couldn't be there rachael. Hope your ok and say hello to my lo's namesake hehe!

I am loving the photos Jade, on my sisters laptop now but will b copying them to mine when home tomorrow. The babies were all so well behaved! Do you lot fancy making it a monthly thing maybe? We could rotate around and move closer to those who don't have transport - I don't mind driving to places!

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. Me and OH were having some issues generally down to coping with a new baby still and makin adjustments to the way our life used to be. I knew it would be hard but wow I didn't realise how much of an impact it really would have on our relationship. Automatically think a child will strengthen it but it really puts it to the test. I love him so much though and Toby too obviously lol!!

At my parents for the night tonight. So I get to hand over toby's care to my sister and mum till bedtime. Hence me getting some me time on BNB!! Yay! Its the little things in life. OH gets a night off of being woken up and also a lie in too as he has tomorrow bookd off cos we've got our dr checks and tobys jabs tomorrow.

It was nice to compare notes too today. I was worried that toby had started to get into a bit of a routine but now seems to begoing backwards again - he can go 5-6 hours between feeds at night but last night he woke up at 1:30 and then 4:30 and wanted to be up for the day at 6am. It was reassuring to check to see how it compares to you other ladies who also don't seem to have a routine. Feel like there s so much pressure to have him in a routine where he sleeps through! Obviously I would love him to but he's only 2 months old!! Gotta give him time I suppose.

My sister has put music on and was dancing with toby and he has dropped off hehe! Looks so cute!

Hi Ladies.

Quinn now weighs 9lbs 2oz. Yay! But hes still having his screaming fits. yesterday it was from 10am til 11pm. Boy was that hard. kinda makes me enjoy when its only from 8pm til midnight! LOL. Today its now almost 4pm and no screaming yet....but im expecting it at 8pm. Oh is going out tonight to watch a hockey game with a friend so its only going to be me here to deal with it. Im not looking forward to it but planning a mommy and baby bath (our first) to see if that calms him down. If it works ill be adding hot water to the bath and staying in there all night!!!!!! ROFL.

Im just not sure how im giong to get out of the tub while holding him and we are both all wet? Any suggestions? Maybe ill reach over and put him on a towel on the floor before i try to get out.
