He should be there for the rest of his life, he was given a golden ticket chance of freedom and he just proved that he cannot co-exist with society.

It's odd, before Joel when I read about them I used to sort of make excuses for them like their upbringing etc because I just used to think everyone was born pure and environment or severe psychological abnormalities were what created a killer. Of course now I know how it feels to be a mother I can't digest the idea of that so easily - thinking about Jamie wanting his mummy makes my blood run cold. If I was Jamies mum I would not be able to go on, she has so much strength.

I think it was wrong that he was ever released and given the chance to lead a normal life. He blew it and should rot now. He shouldn't have been release in the first place and neither should the other boy.

I think they wanted to go to Australia when they were released but Australia wouldn't have them. And who can blame them! You need a letter from god to get into oz so can't see them letting this pair in

The law says he has already served his time for the crimes he committed though.

Has anyone seen that Louis Theroux (sp!) doc called 'a place for pedophiles?' -the men (I think it was all men anyway) on that show are sent to this place AFTER they have completed their sentences and they are then assesed to see if they can be safely let back into the community- if not, they stay there- some will die there- John V should be sent somwhere like that!

I really hope that's not the case Robbins- although it wouldn't suprise me...

solitary confinement? nah, no way! he should be kept in with the rest of the prison population. were they can get at him and kick the shit out of him on a daily basis. have him looking over his shoulder for the rest of his days! child murderers/rapists are the lowest of the low, inside and outside of prison. half these men have nothing to lose, looking at life sentences anyways so makes no difference to them. in a way though, i would not want someone to murder him. as hes then no longer being punished. he should be made suffer and rot away for LIFE.

It doesnt work like that though, when you are given a life sentence and then released you are on license for the rest of your life. If you break that license then you can go back to prison for the rest of your life and if they chose for it to be in a high security hospital rather than a prison then that is the parole peoples choice
